We all pretty much understand Pauls reasons for the Jam to end... in his own words, The Jam was about Youth and Youth angst/frustration and how fucked up and confusing growing up was....He never wanted to be regurgitating that at 40 or 50!! It was also massively about how the people in power are (and always will be... completely fucking us over (soz for sweary bit!) I join you all in the impossible fantasy of a Jam reunion....if only he'd do it for the love of the fans.....won't happen but hey, let's just be grateful of what he HAS given us!!! :)
She was a twat. Weller was only doing this to plug a few things (in quite a blatant and funny way). He couldn't be arsed with the rest of her questions. She took umbrage at this cos he made her look pretty foolish. Before the actual set she announced them as being the "masters of wit and repartee" as a wee dig back. Then Bruce started "Ghosts" and she was quickly forgotten about. What a fucking top band they were!!

This was a soundcheck from a gig at the University of Surrey. Bruce was playing on the same bill with Casbah Club and The Gift were headlining, not an FTJ gig. The day before I arranged for Bruce to play some Jam tunes with Rick, something I have documented elsewhere. On the night Bruce came on as a guest, and then we organised a number of The Gift gigs where he came on as guest. Later as Bruce became more involved and wanting to do full sets The Gift became FTJ.
Adam George, you are so wrong, I live in Brighton, it anit a seaweed scum town it is a decent but the issue is when people had so much booze instead of them this is the sad part, people should learn to grow up and stop acting complete dicks of themsevles in public it is not a good look at all. It is embrassement to themselves and to our community. I have lived in Brighton now for 8 years and this tyipcal brighton and same with any other town full of drunken idiots all around the uk simple as be.

Very sad. This is what alcohol does to people..i people under 25 should have to have drinks cards that get stamped when out!. But always the offy. This kind of behaviour is thank god the minority not the majority.. the guys handled it pretty well. .think he might have started it by calling her a fat bitch but what went before?.the worse thing is to see a girl in the road about to get run over! Brighton has street helpers..that are meant to deal with this kind of thing I think.
