Wow!! Neat video footage! I am making a video of our trip to the GC for my nephews and I want to include something about the mule rides even though we didn't get to do it. Stupid Question,Where do you get Off to Go Pee,if you get a sudden sneak up urge you gotta Go or a emergency number 2? I ask Because i have had this happen on 2 trail rides,Purly out of the blue,without warning,Just courious cause Accidents Happen
Hi Fred, great video, where was your GoPro mounted? Head strap?, chest strap? I am going in September and bought the GoPro 7 to be able to video the mule ride, any tips would be a big help!
Thanks Karen. The GoPro was in a plastic protective case clipped to a lanyard around the neck. Be sure to avoid metal or plastic clips that might create noise picked up by the microphone. Also, wear a garment with a breast pocket to slip the GoPro into when not shooting. Enjoy the views!!!
Thanks for posting. I rolled past at the 5:50 mark. What a crazy hard race. Easily the hardest cross race I had ever done and didn't come close to what they had to ride during the weekend.
We talked to a trainer at the gym and she gave us a series of leg and hip stretches to do starting about six weeks before this awesome adventure. I got out of the saddle and walked normally, never once feeling sore. I was completely amazed at the people doing this with bad knees and one married couple had three artificial hips between them! They were a little stiff but did very well. These mules are better to ride than many horses I've ridden.
Wow, Fred, that was painful to watch. Didn’t realize it was still snowing for your race (or should I say run...). Too bad you could only get one lap in. Crazy event!
Nice ride ! I'm the C2 rider that was able to get into the woods just before you. You got some great footage of me - Thank you !!!! Looks like you had a reasonable ride as well, with the exception of a few incidences in front of you - and you finished strong - no one passed you. I hope you be riding and recording at Sanford.
