Hi Peter, thanks for this tour, amazing installations. Could tou please share with us the playlist heard during video? Specially the live played in Italy with the Mercedes? Very inspiring to follow and listen your advices. Thanks. David from France
Hi I play songs from many different playlists. I can suggest 2 things: - join Tidal and look for Pssound Profile, where you can find dozens of my playlists - use Shazam App which can detect songs and then you can see the titles
Hey Pete, i'm currently debating if i want to cut my floor or firewall to mount 8" midbass drivers. how high do they play when inverted vs not inverted? does it even matter? if i mount the magnet inside the car, i have a lot more options. i have a midrange in the pillar that i can cross over at 300hz, maybe 250ish. good video as always. thanks for showing the stuff! :D
With magnet in the cabin the upper extension is slightly limited, but not as much as it is limited by the location anyway. Ideally you need a midrange that can play down to 200-250Hz. It rarely happens that you can integrate them at 300Hz, but sometimes it does happen. It’s really car dependent.
Man Soundstream Picasso amplifiers are great 👍 performers, now i just had mine recapped and I hope they give me that great listening experience like before.
I have a front 8 inch sub and roll off the mid bass a bit higher. It takes a load off the mid bass and cures rattle in the door. It works fine untill I listen to the radio and deep voices drop into the sub. What I need is a headunit that can adjust crossover per source or at least eq. Plus and minus with all choices. Cars are sub optimal for audio.
Peter.. I challenge you that I can build a car audio system With only 5 speakers one amp $ one DSP And I’ll spend less than 3500 dollars I bet in sound quality it will rival yours I’ll be the first to admit not as pretty But sound for sound… and less cash
Just came across this video. Hope you don’t mind me commenting on an old video. I have been a home hifi guy. I just upgraded my head unit and I’m considering speakers and an amp. I have found local stored music like flac, dsd and CDs do sound better than streaming services, even the hi-res streams. One comment I will say, people may disagree. In the car, if you are focussing on the nuances in the music, then you’re not focussing on driving. I know some may be parked in the car and listening to music, as long as the sound is pleasing to the listener, then you’re good to go. I do understand though that you buy expensive setup and want to feed it the best audio quality to push the limits of the system, for most at least 80% of listening should be good enough and then the remaining 20% for parked up and focussing on the detail listening session. Hope I explained that well
Hello guys, I am a fan of all your work, I would like to see a work on a hatchback!! Have they never used an AE sub installed in the lid that all hatchbacks have? I have a cupra leon and I would like to use an IB15AU or an IB18AU sub and make a very strong top to work on it in IB!! should it work?
@@pssound9749 okay I understand!! Have you ever tried Audiomobile brand subs? I think those guys are making good subs, it would be interesting to see one of them reach their hands!! I'm still on the lookout for all its content!! greetings from Mexico
Want to know what is the best setup for this type of car humm , this one with front stage or the OEM modified with steg speaker , oem have advantage to be "soundround"

Why, just why. the labor alone is probably half the price of this car. At that point, might as well just this car and get ones that have more easier to build SQ upgrade.
It's sounds really good but for the amount of money you have in it, it's not that good. You could definitely achieve this level of SQ with less than a ¼ of the price using regular car audio brands. It's just how you install it that makes the difference.
Just so you know this system became European Champion a few times, so i’m not sure i can do much with your opinion, but thanks for watching! Hopefully you picked up few tips.
If you haven’t heard it live you can’t tell how it sounds like. I have heard that car and I can tell, it is an amazing sounding car. Could it be as good with other products? Propably. Maybe. But for sure these drivers are suitable for that application and that is the only thing matters.
Listening in a 2008 PC with 2.1 creative sound system. I can fell the difference here, i wonder how it is live.....Same feeling with the 15" cheap woofer vs the 8" expensive one. The first shakes your bones and the room. The second only the hears. I'm i right Peter? Best regards!
Good subbass depends on mainly location and application in a car, then tuning. You can use small/big, cheap/expensive, all these options can perform well and very poorly too.
Also, a side note, but a very real one, thank you for using good mics and taking the time to make sure what we're hearing on our end, even though it's not nowhere near what you guys are hearing, but at least on our end, it's the best possible presentation....truly, nobody else showcases car audio like yourself, and it doesn't go without notice... thanks man 👌🏻
