Digital shorts, short films, feature films & more! Lots of comedy, but also other genres like horror! You can watch songs from theater shows I have been part of, or see what my life is like, including many travel videos from around the world!
i love watching videos of old school parks! I always wonder though if todays kids would appreciate these tiny parks in world now full of mega amusement parks with 16 roller coasters ,indoor waterparks, cheaper airfare to travel farther, and all this at-home entertainment we have now..(smartphones,video games, streaming, tablets, etc.)
The arcade you shown next to the coaster was not the candlepin bowling alley, but the old-time one across the midway with the bright lights (if it was still a thing then) was where it was. I remember the older arcade, and the weird patch job on the floor, and the overly bright lights. It was in one of the mill buildings that made the timer for the Comer coaster. Things changed quite some since the mid 80s when I last was here. Skee-Ball is on the midway. When I used to come here, it was in a 6-car garage on the road where the lake boat ride was, on-property. This place wasn't the same since the Pirate's Den burned down in 81.
Some of the best times of my life for strength of this park. I work there between 96 and 97 I mean a ton of friends. Nothing will come close to the life experience this park gave me.
idk why i looked this park up, im tearing up xD such a huge part of my childhood just gone for condos. Not even just mine. My mother's childhood, my grandmother's childhood, hell even my great grandmother was young enough when it opened to enjoy it.
FYI, at least one of your viewers knows this list came from AFI's 100 Years...100 Movie Quotes - thank you and well done for compiling it! Also, while "Yo Adrian" is from Rocky II, isn't it him screaming "Adrian!!!" at the end of the first Rocky film; that's the famous line everyone quotes? So did the AFI make a mistake in writing 'Yo Adrian", when it should have been just "Adrian!"? Random quotes that IMHO are also excellent: One line from Michael Douglas near the end of 'Falling Down ' - "I'm the bad guy? ... How'd that happen? I did everything they told me to." Another from 'Scarface' - "In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women". Godfather: "I believe in America". Godfather Part II: "I know it was you Freddo... You broke my heart". Goodfellas: "As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster". No Country for Old Men: "What's the most you ever lost on a coin toss?" The Apartment: "Shut up and deal!" Annie Hall: "Don't knock masturbation, it's sex with someone I love". Austin Powers: "Oh behave!" Seven: "What's in the box?" Pulp Fiction: "This is a tasty burger!" "Oh I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?" "Bring out the gimp". "But the gimp's sleeping ". "Well I guess you'll have to go wake him up now won't you?" "I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd". Bridge on the River Kwai: "Madness! Madness!" Goldfinger: " No Mr Bond, I expect you to die!" Empire Strikes Back: "That is why you fail". (the obvious one's been commented on already!) Silence of the Lambs: "I do wish we could chat longer but... I'm having an old friend for dinner". Star Trek II: "I have been... and always shall be... your friend". Taken: "I will look for you.... I will find you... and I will kill you ". Back to the Future: "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need... roads". Once upon a time in the West: "You bought two too many ". It's a Wonderful Life: "What do you want Mary? What do you want? You want the Moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso round it and pull it down". Apocalypse Now: "Charlie don't surf!" The Outlaw Josey Wales: "I reckon so". OR "Shut up Lige!" Spartacus: "I'm Spartacus!" Dr Strangelove: "Mine Fuehrer! I can walk!" The Usual Suspects: "The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the World he didn't exist". Blade Runner: "All those moments will be lost in time... Like tears in rain... Time to die". Gladiator: "Are you not entertained?" There will be Blood: "I drink your milkshake!" Planet of the Apes: "You maniacs! You blew it up! ... Damn you all to hell!" Batman: "You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" The Dark Knight: "Why do serious?" The Truman Show: "In case I don't see you: good afternoon, good evening and good night!" The Holy Grail: "Tis but a scratch". OR "Just a flesh wound!" Trainspotting: "Choose life". Carry on up the Khyber: "Mind your own business! Any time is tiffin time!" "Nonsense child! The British are used to cuts!" JFK: "We're through the looking glass here people ". Tootsie: "That is one nutty hospital!" The Fellowship of the Ring: "You shall not pass!" Braveheart: "They may take our lives... But they'll never take our freedom!" Predator: "Get to the chopper!!" Thanks!
Thank you for your comment! Yes, this list wasn't compiled by me nor did I claim to. Seems a lot of viewers didn't catch that. I agree with the quote on Rocky, and I am about to watch that movie for the first time this weekend! Thanks for the load of quotes. I agree with a lot of them, especially "You shall not pass!"
flyer comet was my first roller coaster! the go karts and all the vintage even then rides. sure you could have filmed a few scooby doo mysteries there, it was run down a bit but whalom and canobie were and are my home parks
Classic list, thanks for sharing. If we dig a little deeper, then they'd include; "Then you must make this fire very big, so I can find you." Out of Africa, 1985.
The Fun House had been closed for a long time when I shot this video. Could I incorporate some of your Fun House footage into my video at some point? I would give you full credit of course. George. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b7KLYMS6Bx8.html
I remember I almost died on the spider ride, it goes up in the air and the carriages spin around really fast, the bar that holds you in, isn't very secure and locked, not sure if it was suppose to be like that or mine wasn't locked, I literally had to hold on for my life or I would have flew out of that, scared the crap out of me!
Oh man, I used to love the scrambler and the tilt o whirl, the scrambler was my favorite, i remember the tilt o whirl always gave me a funny feeling in my stomach, never threw up though, lol
I remember going in the fun house a few times as a kid, but I can't remember everything about it, all I remember is the flashing lights and the rolling barrel at the end, also I think the floor drops or you walk up some stairs or something, was over 30 years ago, mid to late 80s, anyone know exactly everything that happens? This video is kind of dark, so I can't really see much.
Oh what great memories I had going to whalom park.:. It breaks my heart to see it gone. I mean the place has been around since the 1800s… truly a major loss
I grew up going to whalom park, so many great memories of my time spent there, I feel so sad for the generations of people who didn’t have a chance to go there, so sad that they closed it down 😢
Well… you would have had a “whale of a time”…. I went all my childhood so it’s heartbreaking to know that they turned this place into condominiums.. but they were great times
It's hard describing to people what we used to have when I was young. There's nothing to do anymore. Shame on our parents generation for letting places like this close.
