The place to be for Doctor Who action figure reviews as well as episode reviews, reactions, unboxings and perhaps a few non Doctor Who related bits and pieces along the way
i bought them as soon as they went up on forbidden planet less than a year later forbidden planet had them in sale and there still in stock now at sale price so i think i was done price wise 🙄
Great collection tour... I only have the big chief studios figures. Mainly the drs I love watching. 4 , 9,10 and 11. I also have rose and a kitbash amy. I have the 1/6 tardis. If you really wanna make your 1/6 tardis pop I suggest getting a magnetic led rgb video light, the kind they use ontop cell phones they look like mini squares to light up your tardis on the inside...I also suggest getting little coin like mini magnets with magnetic tape and regular duct tape I use both to hold the mini magnets in place then place the cellphone mini light where the light button is inside the tardis...believe me it makes a world of difference plus you have the option of blinking or strobe or fade lights along w diff colors. Lastly get a mini speaker w Bluetooth put behind the background. You now have lights and sound fx.😊
I also like to put a rgb light strip outside the tardis...I put it around the tardis and use the blue light color or sometimes I use the fading lights to make the outside of the tardis look otherworldly it really does pop... I hide the outside strip lights by putting my tardis on the top shelf all you see are the lights. If it's within eye level I buy cotton to hide the lights to simulate clouds 😊 and finally the cherry ontop get a tv turntable or dolly so you can spin your tardis around....the spin table was meant for small box tv sets so the weight of the tardis should be fine. I have mine setup that way so I can spin my tardis if I need to.😊
As a Doctor Who collector of nearly 50 years , i have to say , Your collection is very impressive! Its very well laid out for display. I am more of a ealrly 60s and 70s collector as well as prop replicas, but i think you collection is fantastic 👌
Wow, nice collection. Here I thought I was the biggest fan. But of course after my whole life of being a doctor who fan I stopped being a fan when the writing went "woke".
Tell me more about the girl in the fireplace tenth doctor custom figure because I planning on getting a eleventh doctor regeneration 2010 figure so I can swap the head with my spare tenth doctor head.
I am simply.....gobsmacked. An astounding collection. I have a fair amount of the same pieces in my Doctor Who collection, but nowhere near what you have in total. I can't focus on just DW, because I also collect Lost in Space, Planet of the Apes, Godzilla, Space:1999, and assorted robots, TV series, and B-movie collectibles. But your collection is just....WOW!!!!!
A very nice and well organised collection. As a late adopter of the Character Options figure line, there's a few figures there I'd love to add to my cabinets... Loving the large figures too, the Clara rendition is very nice, must hunt that down. So, if you had to save one item in a hypothetical disaster, what would you rescue? Thanks for sharing
As a magic fan and whovian commander is a way to play magic that is typically played with about 4 people and has a very board game feel. Planechase (the use of the bigger cards) is a different way to play magic with a boardgame feel. These ways to play are commonly combined. Sagas (the cards with the text on the side) were designed to show a story unfolding through game mechanics. Deck master was what magic was originally going to be called. For this set if you pick up one copy of each deck you have at least one copy of each card. The packs have alternate art version whether that's extended art like you got for the second doctor or completely different art. If you don't want to go through the hassle of getting randomized cards there are places like CardMarket and that you can go to to buy individual cards.
RU-vid led me here because of Magic content, and let me say right now: You absolutely do not have to apologize for not getting what all of that product is or does. It's an amazingly dense game that no human can expect to just "get" intuitively. I very much enjoyed your reactions to the card art. Some help with the "things" - you figured out the deck box. The dial that spins is a life counter, allowing you to keep track of your current life total. It starts at 40 (probably on the back) and then you cycle it down as you lose life. The collector's booster sample is exactly that - a sample of another product that they sell. You can use those cards to either replace those in the deck (swapping the Second Doctor with the one that has extended artwork, for instance) or use them in other decks. You may want to trade them in for a few p of store credit. The planechase cards represent an effect that is shared across all players, so they're made bigger to be more visible, and you progress through them if you roll the little spiked-crown "planeswalker" symbol on the "planar die" - the die that came with it. There's also an effect if the swirly "Chaos" symbol is rolled, as listed on the planes. As for the punch-outs, the small round ones are just tokens, used to represent things in game and are handy to have as a signifier. The larger rectangular ones are just different tokens. you can use them as a placeholder pieces if you need to represent something in the game. The foil-printed "card" on the front is just a weird evolution of how they've always packed Commander decks and really isn't significant. If you are curious about how the game plays at all, I'd suggest checking out Game Knights- they're very professional Magic Gameplay RU-vid channel, and they played these decks against each other recently: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Hz0NNG6tvGo.html
SWEET COLLECTION MY FRIEND!! It must be frustrating to not be able to show off many of them in all their Black Series glory!! I know it does for me. There's so many that i have to display in a plain vanilla pose, and you can't completely see them! 😠 Again great collection!!!!🔥🔥💯🥇
Oh wow, I'm in the USA and I have had this set for ages....you'll weep when you find out how much I bought them for...I have the entire Pandorica and paid less than $10 for the whole thing.
Just purchased this as two separate items. I now have 24 single Daleks in my collection. Great commentary, just one thing that nobody seems to mention. The Dalek in the tv episode had what looked like a small pivot on the top of the dome.
