-Franchement, j'ai rarement vue un court métrage aussi parfaitement réalisé, le travail est impressionnant, l'œuvre en donne des frissons, un grand bravo pour cette vidéo !
Every time I watch this, it reminds me of years back how my Nanna's carer kept stealing money out of her purse. My Nanna was disabled and an amputee, so she needed looking after whenever we couldn't make it over. Eventually, she was caught and confronted by authorities, and she served time on probation when she deserved proper jail time, which she was never given by the court. My Mam had then saw her about a year ago on a bus, so she let everything out that she wanted to say to her aftwr all those years and how she hopes she rots in hell, which certainly isn't over exaggerating. I definitely hope no one else goes through the same thing as my Nanna did, and I'm glad that my Nanna can't be treated that way ever again either as she passed away nearly 6 years ago
Compassion fatigue is very real thing and is becoming quite common. It's difficult to avoid. Having a "Lily" doesn't solve the problem. In fact, vilifying people for this very human condition drives potential care givers away from the industry. Just shadow staff in elder care and convalescent units and try doing their job. The true problem then becomes clear. What's needed is education about it, coping methods, and proper resourcing of care.
I loved the double-edge meaning at the end. The "carer" was obviously a terrible person who abused that man. But the other side is - is he bringing in carers to then kill them like it's a game for he and his ghost wife, Lily? I was glad the "carer" had died, but when he was looking at her picture on the wall and I saw all of those frames, I figured there were probably two monsters in this film. Well done!
*Lily's husband's carer abuses him* *LILY CRACKS KNUCKLES* 'OK we know the drill for this.😈😈😈💀💀💀' LILY AFTERWARDS: 'Ovidio mon cherie, you've got to stop them from hiring help that abuses you, this is the fourteenth time I've had to do this. 😕'
I felt pain when I saw the suffering poor elderly man who needed help while an evil lady neglected his help and abused him. This short film was one of the best drama horror short films. Great job!
quel garce cette bonne femme qui s'occupe de ce pauvre monsieur bien affaibli et malade .et dire que dans la vrai vie malheureusement il y en a des comme ça c'est honteux ! très bon scenario certes un peu dure tout de même .
I'm always horrified by the people who choose to go into health care and such, who don't actually care at all. Many elderly people are mistreated and it's quite sad. I wish they all had someone looking out for them.
Good, but the problem with horror stories like these is that if the character is awful or unlikable, you WANT to see them get killed off, so it lessens the emotional impact and decreases the scare factor because you're not worried for them.
