Saw your video comment on Facebook in response to a newbie's post. Im not a photographer but loved your comment! and actually got some tips for taking camera phone pics, so thanks!
Aww thank you! I’ve actually been considering doing tutorials geared towards camera phone pics because you don’t really need a super fancy camera to take awesome photos!
So glad I found your page. Loved hearing the thought process behind the edits in real time. Super easy to follow and loved the amount of examples you shared
I appreciate it! We’re working out the kinks in being able to offer live CC’s, but if you’re interested in receiving a recorded one over your own photos just let me know!
Wow, this is such a helpful video! I totally agree, having a "no touchy touchy" bin would be a game-changer to keep everything safe and organized. Thanks for the great tip!
Love this! Thanks so much for the explanation on your process! I'd love to learn more about how to avoid mixing temperatures of light (or how to do it properly in portraits) and internal camera settings (which I know will vary slightly). I'm curious to know why you would take your exposure down when you are mixing. Thanks again, love you videos! Been following you since seeing a few of your posts on the beginner photography group on FB ❤
I appreciate you! Basically, you want your flash to become the strongest light in the room, in order to do so, you need to cut down on the internal camera settings to around -1 on your exposure meter (in other words, darken the existing lights, if you're not able or don't want to turn them off) and then pump the flash until you visual reach that 0 to +1 range of exposure on your subject. It's just a matter of finding a visually pleasing balance. It's a lot easier to see and grasp in actual practice, so I'll add it to my list to record a training on!
