I am privileged to have grown up in the Golden Age of the Raiders.. Guy, Madden, Shell, Upshaw, Stabler, Biletnikoff, Allen, Hendricks, Blanda, Haynes, Hendricks, Woodson, Casper, Brown, Al Davis..and so many others.. They were not only a great football team, they were the most fun to watch.. so many great comebacks..
Was at this game. Was pretty much the beginning of the end for Bryant. Remember fans booing really loudly as the teams went to the locker room before half.
2014 was way too long to postpone Guy’s enshrinement into Canton! The talentless, never played football, shyster-nerdy writers who wouldn’t vote yes on his inclusion are a fuckin embarrassment!
He was not just a punter. Played safety and was an emergecy qb. Pitched for the baseball team. Threw a one hit shutout against ole miss. Played on the golf team. Probably the best all around athlete to ever wear the black and gold. Only punter in the hall of fame for the nfl.
he gave up nypd precincts an districts as well as st louis pd precincts an districts an small rural towns along the way made a mess this is how you properly figure four a rabid dispatch worker you give him the opportunity to run if he ignores it out of pride thas his choice we know for a fact hes banned an was never at the table he doesnt even know me he thinks im blacc an so does piggly wiggly relax one phong booth at a time an dont rush on the account of a stranger in debt . .its a cute little war only because they also are eating their own people alive to treat businesses like bandos they have no homes its a smart tactic if they actually have who they think they have they dont if thas the case i wouldve went to prison in 2021 wake up best way to get control of rabid rats that tricc 24 hours a day is to take their cigarettes an give em to a phong call they cant make. .im doing my time thas it im showing yu what yu need to do without being in contempt dont call nor ask nyuna for nothing still that goes for all womens dorms actually. .just because your in a tight spot dont mean you start telling on your personal belongings thas a war crime non-negotiable- X
The greatest ever. He was my idol. I studied him and studied him. Never came close to even his below average punts, LOL but I sure as hell was above and beyond my competition between grade school thru High School. My nickname in HS was "Moon-Unit"...I didn't kick it far but next to nobody ever returned my punts. Everybody stood around waiting for it to come back down....LOL.
I remember watching Sammy Winder when he played for Denver. I got him to do a job for us with his construction company after he went back to Mississippi. I understand that he actually started that construction company while he was still playing for the Broncos. You never heard anything bad about him on a personal level, like so many others who throw their money away. He is very sharp with everything he has ever done.
Southern Miss has always had things that were different than many others such as, if you go back to the 1950s and early 60s their coach, Pye Vann attracted some of the most outstanding defense to have ever played in the last 70 years. During those times they didn't have much offense, but they would beat high-ranking teams with scores like 2 to 0, or 6 to 0, with 2 field goals.
There he goes again naming some high school coach, his wife's, and the names of his dogs and cats. That's not the answer to the question. Honestly, you are not close. You are second worst coach to come through the program in the last 30 years. That FCS win puts you just ahead of E-loss Johnson. There are no moral victories in your 3rd year chief!
"Trying to get better"? Win one FBS game and we will call it better but I really don't see Will being the guy to get it done this season. As much It hurts to say, I see a 1-11 season. Schedule ahead is too tough for this staff. Talented team, terrible coaching.
Man I miss those days. That stadium used to always be packed full, it was loud, the team was always amazing n could hold up with even the best teams, we had the Nasty Bunch, and even the Conference USA was a respectable conference for a G5 conference imo. Gosh I miss em. I don’t remember the year, but I remember 2 games specifically, 1 was setting the attendance record I think against Jackson State of all ppl, that place was rocking that night, and then against CAL, who was supposed to come in and do,I ate us and we stayed with em n they ended up moving down in the ranks. Oh and also a game against TCU who were ranked high nationally and we came in that night ready to upset them and that we did. Those teams of the 90s and early 00s were some great ones, and so were the crowds. I miss it being that way, I really do. Every game was packed. I still remember hugging some lady after barely beating Houston one year in the final minutes even tho their guy caught a kick n went in the endzone n come back out n the refs allowed it, but we either stopped them or got the ball n scored n come back. But either way, the place was such a great atmosphere for a Saturday night ( n even the few Thursdays n Tuesday night games I went to) still always full no matter who we played.
I think a lot of Coach Hall, I'm glad he's on our side. This is college football. Things happen, and overcoming adversity is a part of it. Giving up on them is not an option in my book.
We gotta be able to pass the ball better. Spread them out more. We seem to be doing the same old stuff. Gotta change it or its gonna be another long season
