You can track anything, the FoST was faster, but weighed much more than the Civic and also lacked a LSD. My wife is already modding the Civic and has more on the way, she is planning on using it for autocross.
I see you've got baby metal banging here😂 We have a government funded radio station (the other is news and aboriginal/first nations dedicated and dosen't play any music really and is for elderly people mostly) here in Australia called "triple j" plays baby metal sometimes and they don't beep out songs with swear words in their lyrics
I've always been a fan and wanted a Firebird/Trans Am. I imagine how bada$$ a modern one could be with the 5th or 6th gen Camaro platform. It's sad that the V8 muscle cars are dying off when they are a huge part of American automotive.
I'm not completely sure about that. Here in the US, the MPV was discontinued after 2006. That interior is different in the next generation of MPV, but the dash still might be removed in a similar way. 🤷♂️
Stock for stock, they are close, but the VN is slightly faster in the top end than the ST. But that's why manual vs. manual is always fun to run cause depending on the driver the outcome can change.
@DarkSkillchain I list the mods in the description if you're wanting to know the specifics on each car. There is enough negative car content, but I want to promote to enjoy what you drive or the cars you like. We can have fun and talk about cars no matter the brand, price tag, or horsepower.
Thank you! My VN has an aftermarket intake, bigger intercooler, and a JB4 tuner, but in this video I was running map 0 to basically be at stock boost to be as close to "stock" vs "stock". The ST was basically all stock and only had an aftermarket intake and a muffler delete.
I appreciate it! I enjoy talking, driving, and hanging out with other car people, no matter what we drive. I'm always down to do a dig or roll with anyone cause win or lose, I'm having fun.
Here we had 19-22' Veloster N, 22-23' Kona N, and 22+ Elantra N (basically our version of an i30N sedan). I really like the i30N hatch, but we don't get it here, the closest we had were the 13-20' Elantra GT hatchback which was on the i30 platform, but the highest trim was a 18' sport or 19-20' N-Line with a 200hp 1.6t. So the Veloster N was my choice here.
@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 I'm racing Novice class right now which is basically an open class, until I'm ready to move up. One guy is racing "D Street" class which is where a stock VN is placed in, and the other is in a "ST" class cause his VN is modified. Autocross has strict rules for certain cars in some classes and especially with mods.
@Mr.Bisquik wanna book an appointment with doctor pimple popper to try and pop the back of it? Reckon it will turn into a elantra/i30 N sedan after you give it a good squeeze??
I love the VN's bubble butt, I don't want that pancake a$$ lol. I would love an i30N hatch, but unfortunately, they are not available in the US. I had an Elantra N-Line, but the smaller Veloster feels more sporty and nimble in the corners.
@Mr.Bisquik these velosters and Ns keep following me, I have spotted 6 velos in person and I haven't counted how many Ns, but I've seen a N in a news broadcast (in Australia btw, a husband tried to stop firefighters from saving his partner and kids, they believe it was a dv situation, the sedan N was parked out on the lawn, next to their house, so hopefully the N isn't owned by the partner who set the house on fire, because then N owners are only going to have a worse reputation in the car community). Then this morning, when they did a news break for a 15 year old on the gold coast here, took control of her school bus after the driver had a heart attack, they went to the reporter who was at the location and a white first gen velo just randomly drives past behind the reporter. Why am I seeing so many of them, *WHY?* 😂
For sure. When I first got to drive one of these, as a kid, I thought it was so cool and was much quicker than the 04 Hyundai Accent I had at the time.
I had a black 03 6spd v6 with intake headers and exhaust. Lowered on eibachs with cleared headlamps. It was such an awesome car. I loved it! Very quick and sounded crazy. Great fun car you got there buddy!
I fell in love with these as a kid, especially when I got to drive one then cause my friend's mom had a GT 6mt. I was hooked, but couldn't afford one then lol. They sound good with an aftermarket intake and exhaust.

I always thought the Tiburons were a cool and unique coupe. Yeah, I'm still debating just fixing and keeping the exterior stock and clean, but there are also some pretty cool body kits available... Thank you!
Like I mentioned in the description, it had some crappy a/s tires that were struggling for traction and was only on 87 octane. New wheels/tires are on the way and the ST is now running on 91 octane for more hp/tq. Rematch coming soon!
I love my VN, it's definitely the most fun car I've owned so far. The prices have gone down a little, the 19'-20' are cheaper than the 21'-22'. In case you didn't know, the 19'-20' have a base model and performance package while the 21'-22' have more tech/features and also have the choice of 6 speed manual or a DCT transmission.

Far as the whole setup; Delkin Fat Gecko triple mount - $83.75usd on Amazon Insta360 selfie stick - $24.99usd on Amazon Insta360 X3 camera - $449.99usd on Amazon My older 360 footage was captured on an insta360 One X I got used off ebay for about $130usd.
It's still a very fun go-cart feeling car stock, but they handle very well through the twists. They have a good aftermarket support to make them quick.
Pretty sure they missed a shift cause I was expecting it to be close. That's also what's awesome about manual vs. manual cause depending on the driver mod the outcome can be surprising or unpredictable.
For sure, I was expecting it to be a close race without knowing their mods. I've done a pull with a mazdaspeed6 with unknown mods and it was very close.
It was organized and planned, the pull was on the 3rd honk. That "guy" is my wife and was well aware of what was going on. Would you expect a stock Fiesta ST to keep up with a modded Veloster N?
