I’ve been on the Norway to Artic twice, once in February, then on the same cruise for the midnight sun. The food is sumptuous, so many extra trips. I could go on for hours. Absolutely wonderful. I think the two ships I went on had around 800-900 passengers.

@@HXHurtigrutenExpeditions the only problem was the ‘ northern lights ‘ cruise. We saw a little green blob for about 5 minutes. That’s it. !! Otherwise it was wonderful.
Sind bei den Antarktis-Reisen auch 530 Passagiere an Bord? Dann ziehen sich die Landgänge aber ... Es dürfen ja nur wenige Personen auf einmal an Land.
@@HXHurtigrutenExpeditions in the '80's I read Arctic Dreams by Barry Holstun Lopez and since then always wanted to cruise the Inside Passage. But Antarctica looks wonderful too. As do the Scottish Isles (I'm of Scots descent). I've never been on a cruise because I never wanted to go on a huge cruise with thousands of people somewhere warm. It just isn't my style. I prefer the cold. Also, I love research and learning new things. My idea of a vacation is attending a workshop, lecture or conference - I can't lie around on the beach lol. So your smaller expedition cruises sound perfect!
