Can I ask a question. In highschool during welding class, instructor recommended slightly loose gloves so if you happen to grab onto hot hot stuff, you have time to flip the glove off before it shrinks to a tight fit. Is this valid?
I remember working for a certain company who would give us material that was not fit and they would still tell us to weld it! "Just fill the gap with weld" 🙈😂

Haha. I got u beat ,all i have to do is feed a machine, and get paid 21 hr, work 8 to 9 hrs a day weekend's are optional. Thats bank boie .. . Time in half ot. Sucj it 😅😂😅
Yep, arc burns are not good. Im an NDT guy, we test those with ammonium persulfate after its ground out and buffed down. If the metal is good, we ultrasound test what thickness is left. If its below spec, its gettin cut.
