This is my personal preference, I prefer Dmytro Udovychenko’s Shostakovich. I like his tempo and intensity a bit more. He, in my humble opinion, deserved first prize. And yes, I listened to all of his performances plus the other candidates’ performances too
She's been a top performer of this piece. Sayaka-chan in 2024 is even better than her 2012 recording. Especially near the end of the cadenza, her pace is faster than before and her iconic sound quality is still there.
I wish I could like this a thousand times. This is soooooo good!!!! I am confused at the low number of likes, views, and comments. This is the best recording of this that I've found on the internet so far, with a close second from Poland, also wonderful. This violist is tops. The young clarinetist is amazing, too. Great orchestra!
