I cannot disagree more with your takes (but from one fan to another, thanks for giving all the albums a fair shake!). Your #7, Murder of the Universe, might be among my least favorite, and I could easily imagine swapping Changes (your #6) with literally any of your #19-17 (Dream Balloon, Mind Fuzz, FMB). Not that Changes is bad, none of their albums are bad!
Dawg, you’re saying that you need to watch Toho Godzilla movies, but little do you know that there’s some otherworldly bullshit that goes on after 1954, it’s not just the monsterverse.
I don't like how in the US, Godzilla's movies are used to promote pro-military and pro-nuke propaganda. I think the original Godzilla film from Japan was better than the entire monsterverse.
I really like you. I think I put Godzilla Vs. Kong over Skull Island but that's mainly because it launched the whole thing. I love Godzilla. I grew up watching all of the Too Godzilla movies so being invested in the monster verse was kind of required. The number one Godzilla movie is Godzilla Minus One, hands down. If you've not watched Monarch the TV show I suggest it. Pretty good.
I have to agree with an earlier comment: Best Trilogy Ever (In my best Stefon voice ~ from SNL) This movie has everything: Action. Suspense. Romance. Murder? Dancing! *Spicy* You know... It's got that guy, from the thing, who does the stuff...
I'm right there with you, Brannon. Fellowship of the Rings was SUPER boring as a kid. xD. That J.K Rowling section into Beloved was a 10/10 lol Beloved is great it took some time for me to fall in love with it though.
I’m glad I’m not alone in my LOTR childhood suffering 😂 Beloved is so impressively and intensely stylized. I’m really being blown away by it the more that I read it.
This album slaps. I think I like it more every time I listen to it, and the songs have been stuck in my head for like 2 weeks. Unrelated, but I highly encourage you to spend more time with Sketches of Brunswick East. I didn't think much of it at first either, but it has REALLY grown on me. It's pretty low-energy sure, but it's just such a chill vibe
I'M BEIN A SILLY BILLY (I do see your point with Sketches, in my first ranking video I had it way higher because I was revisiting it more, but something must've happened and I stopped jamming to it. I'll have to give it some more listens eventually.)
I can actually see your point with this ranking, but the majority of people who "hate" on the newer Disney star wars stuff are dedicated fans who are pissed off at how they're brutally ass fucking the canon and how they just threw the legends canon in the dumpster. Do you have any idea how sick the legends canon is? I mean, just watch the cinematic trailers for the Star Wars: The Old Republic game. That game takes place in the old republic on the legends timeline and it's awesome. And Disney de-canonized it so they can just replace it with their woke, gay preaching bs.
Well look comrade, I gotta be honest, as somebody who's technically pan, I don't think complaining about the Disney era being "gay preaching" is the best way to convince me that it's bad. But also, like, where is the gay preaching? The brief shot of two lesbians kissing in episode nine? Osha saying "them" when referring to the tracking creature in the Acolyte? Was that it? Is a kiss preaching? When Luke and Leia kiss, is that consider straight preaching or incest preaching? And hey, you still have access to that Old Republic game and the legends timeline! It still exists as a version of the star wars universe. Basically we get two separate, iconic stories that share six overlapping films. My issue with Disney's ownership of star wars is that disney is a massive, greedy corporation, and the films they make are often nothing more than corporate cinema with no heart or artistry involved (think the cookie cutter formula of marvel movies). As time has gone by, they've been getting worse and worse at creating meaningful art, because they're driven by the profit motive instead of any artist's vision. I do think that the sequel trilogy was made by passionate, artistic filmmakers, but it's clear some of these new shows are suffering at the hands of cheap production and obvious rushing.
There's really no reason not to! It is guaranteed to grow back (eventually, you can look at my most recent vids to see how long it's taken me to get that much length back) - it might be a once in a lifetime experience for you - if you don't do it, you'll never know what it was like to have a shaved head! Make sure that it's something YOU want to do. If you're hesitant, you can always wait. If you want to do it, why not? Even if you end up not liking it, the hair does come back with patience (but when I say patience I do mean patience).
Only a day of suspension (with pay) for 2 brutal murders!?!?! This ruined my immersion and made me realize I was watching a work of fiction. It should at least be a week suspension with overtime pay!
Thank you for putting Castle in the Sky in 2nd. A lot of critics do not realize how great it is among the other Studio Ghibli movies. How influential it has been. Also do you enjoy the 2003 Disney dub? Because people say that Pazu’s voice was too mature and Sheeta’s accent was too wishy-washy between American, British, and Australian.
Castle in the Sky had a real impact on me! I'm glad you liked it too! I actually watched it with the Japanese audio and subtitles, so I can speak on the dub discourse :)
What's strange is Brannon worships democrats who robs people, he probably still lives with his parents. Birds of Valhalla rob with their ridiculous shipping, and if you actually check their prices, they are more expensive. Brannon is one of those pompous butthurt kids who thinks things should be measured by his standards. He'll probably be so angry he'll delete this comment and block me, because that's what fake Christians do.
Everything you brought up in your video was all of the things that I had problems with. The situations that Jude was faced with were very, very frustrating to read about. The people around Jude who knew that Jude needed help didn't do anything to get him the help that he truly deserved. In hindsight, I think I kept reading because I wanted there to be a happy ending, but that was just me wishing for something that I knew all along wouldn't happen.
Oh I totally get that. I honestly would have kept reading it to learn how it ends if I hadn’t checked the goodreads reviews when I did. The whole time I was reading it, I kept thinking, “surely things will improve by the end.” The negative reviews waved enough red flags for me to look up the ending and realize what was still to come. They basically saved me😭 I really appreciated your video about the book! Love the vibes of your channel 💚
Apparently one raving review of this book called it the "Great Gay Novel," and I just need to emphasize that torturing your gay character and then putting him in a relationship with an insane r*pist who targets disabled people because "he once had parents who got sick" is the most homophobic thing I've ever seen. Somebody take away Hanya Yanagihara's writing utensils.
Dude you lost me when talking about communism and cops. It's one thing if that's exactly what the song is about but you inserted that understanding in there. I'm all about Australian Psych rock which should be for everyone.
Sorry, I hoped those would come across as lighthearted bits. 😇 Don't get me wrong, I am a communist. I just believe that communism, like Australian Psych rock, should be for everyone 💖💞💕💘💝💖
@@henryohse1 Honestly I can't stop listening to this - I don't want to fall prey to recency bias on the day it releases, but this is the best album ever made.
My wife bought me a set of bars from them. They smelled good - but after just 3 weeks, my skin started to break out in red itchy patches. I tried all three bars. Nothing changed. Went back to my plain Softsoap body wash... within 2 days, the issue cleared right up. They went in the trash, never to be bought again.
