There is an "app" for this, its called an ultrasonic scanner, but its cheaper to hire you ass and a mallet, than to use one. And you're ass is cheaper than some peace of nit so fancy electronics us because you don't know it even exists, not to mention how to use it.

i had the same problem and after getting a new grommet it still leaked what i found and wanted to pass it on fuel tank bung for exmark part # 103-2605 it works perfect and it will tighten up
If the void is small enough and depending the location no repair is needed. If it is along the edge we do an injection repair. Raise the edge and inject adhesive.
