If the claps were on tempo, I could forgive them, between the origins of the song, and due to the fact that they're most likely the parents of the kids playing, it's acceptable, but not forgivable

Why are the people so mad about the clapping? Can we just consider them a part of the orchestra? It actually sounds good with the claps!

Lol, I wouldn't mind the clapping if I played in the orchestra, I know from experience that it's quite fun to play when the audience is clapping. Of course it's inappropriate to clap along an orchestral masterpiece, but this is a simple entertainment piece! It's just a little bit unfortunate that the arrangement has some soft parts that get covered by the clapping.
