Welcome to my little creative corner of the internet! I love sharing with you my creative endeavours and hopefully inspire you to create something new for yourself.
Scattered Thoughts of a crafty mama has a pattern called Girl's Twirly Dress for a knit bodice and woven skirt. Life Sew Savory has a free t shirt dress pattern; it also has a knit bodice and could have a woven skirt. The Stitching Scientist has a patterm called Brooklyn Empire dress with 3/4 sleeves. The pattern would need to be changed to have a back opening for modesty.
Hi 👋😃 How did I not think about this?🙂 tshirt dresses would be a good choice for long sleeves indeed. I mostly sew with wovens but I will check. I had never heard about The Stitching Scientist before. Thank you so much for the recomendations.
@@VoxAtelier Hey, I was lookin' at free patterns for girls' clothes and I found one by Shwin and Shwin. It's called the holiday dress and it goes from 12m to 8y. It has a back zipper but that can be changed to an opening and ties.
“Scattered thoughts of a crafty mom” has a pattern for a peasant dress with short AND long sleeve options. I made one with long sleeves yesterday. Very easy to make. ❤
Sadly Vikisews is a Russian pattern company pretending to be based in other countries. Given the war with Ukraine maybe not the best choice to advertise her pattern given that the Russians have stolen so many Ukrainian children and taken them to Russia
Hello, I understand your point of view and that you may choose not to use their patterns and that is a very valid reason. From my point of view, being that it is a free pattern, I saw it as a free resource that can be used for good by making these dresses. Still, I totally understand tha you may choose not to use this.
Hello 😊 Do you mean the button molds? I got it also on Amazon. I am leaving the link below. A similar one should appear on amazon for your area. Please let me know if you need more information 🙂 Amazon: shorturl.at/3PpVK
Hello, Vox! I really enjoyed your video! My video for PDAG comes out on Sept 16th. I have used the free patterns from Thoughtful Creativity. And I have adapted patterns from Simplicity and Butterick. Have a good week! ~Nancy
Hello! Yes, I used viscose so I decided to give it some structure by interfacing both pieces with a medium/light interfacing. For the button loops I did use elastic but now I recommend making the button loops with a piece of fabric (maybe cut on the bias). The ones made of elastic are not very durable from my experience.
I like your makes. I am sewing for Fall and Winter. I am making things that I need. I am making blouses, outerwear jacket pantsuit, skirt set and some vests using fabric scraps.
Thank you so much! When I found out that making buttons was actually not time consuming I wanted to give it a try and it is totally worth it! Mostly when you want something special to match your fabric 😊
Thank you! 😊 I love dagger collars! I know they can make a garment look too much like a "statement piece" and harder to style and wear but in this print I think it ended up looking just right and not "too much". 😍
Hi 👋😃 I love to be able to make custom buttons for some projects. We put a lot of effort into sewing and sometimes the buttons in our stash are not a perfect match. We can always shop for some new buttons but I think that sometimes making some unique ones is the way to go. It indeed does not take a lot of time and the kit will last for a very long time as well 😊
Really pretty dresses!!! Thank you so much for sharing! Last year I was a little late to take part but for 2024 I already started to make my dresses. Obrigado por partilhar os vestidos 👗 conosco. Juntos conseguiremos fazer muitos!! 🎉🎉🎉 Sobrescrita nova do seu canal ☺️ 🇵🇹.
Olá! 👋😃 Thank you so much for watching, subscribing and leaving such a nice comment too! Eu escolhi um padrão diferente para fazer este ano e vou partilhar no vídeo de dia 8. Desejo-lhe uma ótima semana e até domingo!🎉😊
Thank you so much! The curved hem was not easy but it is my favorite view for this pattern <3 I need to make a long sleeve version for fall. Happy crafting! 👋😊
Pleated bodice on Daria dress would hide the pastorale print whilst the print would hide the pleats. That yellow black print would look awesome combined with bee print!
Hi!👋 I found on instagram a version of the Pleated Lily dress in the same fabric but in red pastorale instead of blue. Indeed the print was not very visible in the pleated area but it was still visible in the rest or the dress✨. That is how I got the idea to match this fabric for this pattern. I did not think about mixing the yellow black print with the bee fabric but now that you mention 😃 they would indeed look great together! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to chat with me in the comments 👋😊
Hello! 👋😊 From these free patterns only the ones from Fabric Store did not work for me since they would require a lot of alterations and rework. All the other's fit as intended. Apart from the ones mentioned in this video, the patterns that fit me the best are the ones from Vikisews because I can buy the patterns for my height. I am only 160cm or 5'2''. The only alteration I make to vikisews patterns is to add 1cm to the waist because I am in between sizes. My favorite pattern is the Sharon dress.
Hello! 👋 My cat's name (the one who insisted of being a part of this video) is Toffie! Do you have a cat? And does he/she stick around while you're trying to sew? 😄
Mercy you. I definitely understand the different hobbies. Sometimes (only after not during) I ask myself if I’ve lost my mind. Then do it again and again.
Hello Zelda! 👋😃 I picked them all. I have been adding them to my favorites list for months and now had a nice chance with a sale to get most of them hahaha I could not pass the opportunity!
Thank you so much! I made some alterations and 3 toiles of the cups. I ended up sizing up at the waist and making a short torso adjustment (forgot to mention in the video). All the work before cutting the final fabric was worth it 😊
