Horrible quest design. I managed to get a lot of the side quests by exploring but this one is absolutely the worst in the game. One wrong turn looking for the next checkpoint and you mess up two questlines and loose a vendor with an almost essential piece of gear for certain builds. Doing a radiant spellcaster build on my first playthrough and I'm pretty pissed this was so easy to miss. Yea there's always new game plus but that's a bad excuse for poor quest design.
All the quests are atrociously designed. I don't think this one is even the worst. In my opinion the worst is Kukajin's: you have to summon her for 6 different bosses to progress her questline and the summon signs only appear after you die at least once to each boss. Since the game does not tell you which bosses you have to summon her for, if you do not consult a guide you have to die on purpose to every single boss in the game in order to be able to check if Kukajin can be summoned and at that point you're still not done and have to jump through a few more hoops.
I am sorry but this is dumb. There was no indication or anything to suggest not taking the elevator. I didn't even know it went up, I assuemd it went down. This is truly the worst questline so far.
thats what im saying. it didnt give me any of the shit hes doing in the beginning. sent me straight to the Infiltrate Corpus Archives mission and i cannot fucking beat it makes me ragequit after 3 runs i dont get it. how tf do u upgrade the ship and make it easier if thats the first quest i get for it i dont understand
Bloody hell, I keep missing this one. It's way too easy to fail a particular questline in this game. I never had this much trouble with Souls game, including Elden Ring.
I ended up using the lift to go up to calrath not knowing the full quest of Byron and Winterbury. Basically i am told that you have two options. Tell him the truth (about wintbury's death) or lie to him. He either will leave the world or become an npc at skyrest. I have finished the depths boss and have no option to do either. He is just waiting at the top of the lift. How do i get him to transition so i can tell him the outcome?
