I bought one and had the same problem, except they put the inside tube on upside down. It looked right but the bolt holes in the bed wouldn't line up. I loosened the outside hose clamp and turned the filler so the holes would line up but it twisted the cheap inner tube so It would not fill. I took the bed off 4 times before I figured out what was going on. 94 Ranger.
My 2002 gmc Savana has lost micro amounts of cool for years. It's a 240k miles. I baby it. Barely touch the throttle. Sometime it misfires. Low idle. Vacuum leaks symptoms. Hit a a deer. Installed new radiator. Used a vacuum coolant unit to fill with coolant. It would collapse upper hose for a short time 10 seconds. Then make vacuum in cooling system. No leaks visible anywhere. Heater works well. I think I just need intake gasket, and while I'm in there the spider injection upgrade. What a pain in the ass.
Rangers must be different, on a old Lincoln that i used to have and on my 91 Mustang, both with AOD's there is no fluid present when replacing the VSS sensor, thank god for that, lol
Thank for making this video, I just encountered the same issue when I bought a new one. I switched it out with the older inner pipe and bamn back in business. Good job.
How would you engineer this in with a pump? Just had a HE furnace installed with 3/8" PVC draining to a condensate pump that then feeds a flex line to a utility sink. The pump is too hard to reach to put stone in itself, so looking for a solution before it drains into the sink. Maybe put it just before the sink so it drains downward through stone?
Ford I believe put the smaller hose in those to reduce theft I’ve heard guys say to pull that hose off and gut the filler neck like an old school filler neck🤷🏻
My story is the same and I believe that I got the same exact replacement part. I am going to do exactly as you have done. well , I just went outside and got the old hose assembly and as you said the inner hose on the old one is far more rigid than the new inner replacement hose is. Thank you for the good information.
I appreciate you posting your video so much! I am a 63 year old woman who needed to replace the speedometer transmitter on my 1989 E350 Ford motorhome, this video was the only one helpful!♥️
7:03 I threw this spring out of my car and relied on the screw only because I cannot return it due to the lack of space. Does this cause damage to the engine?
Hello Mr. Pastore. How many miles and how old was the engine when the lower intake manifold leak started? Where did you purchase your gasket kit, supplies, tools and anything else you used on this job? Thank you for recording this removal and replacement.
