My close friend died recently. One of the last things he ever told me was that he finally picked up a Toe album after I’d been recommending them for years, and he loved it. Thank you guys for bringing him joy at the end.
I saw Mogwai live once in 2004 (in Buffalo NY) and really thought that if I lived this long that I'd get to see them again without traveling too far. : (
They are quality band and great musicians but goddammit concerts can be exhausting and boring at times. And if the acoustics and is sound is not good it will suck. I was listening to them 15 years ago and was a fan but their music seem to be outdated nowadays. They are just missing something that would make them stand out, soemthing that will relate to todays world, some f up electronics, some crazy vocals smt... I guess I'm not as patient as before for this type of stuff
Riuscire a perdonare oltre... E penso sia andata bene
Thank you for sharing this. I saw this show twice in 2010, and both were with my Mom. The first time was actually a road trip with her and seeing the show in Chicago, my first time there. She didn't know anything about Sigur Ros or Jonsi, but I told her what a cool show it was supposed to be, and we were both blown away. She loved it and would revisit the album a lot. She passed from lung cancer in 2020 ... almost 10 years after we first saw this show together. I haven't listened to the album since, but seeing this brought back some happy and sad memories.
