I'm Janeris, that girl from tik tok that sold her house to temporarily move into a mobile home. I'm sharing how I'm making money from home instead of a 9 to 5 to get from our double wide mobile home into our dream house on a 2 acre lot.

trailer parks are backbones of small communities. they can be wonderful and safe places for families. if i was able to go back, i would. the trailer i lived in was built in 1972 and my landlord refused to repair or update it. any “updates” or half assed repairs that were made backfired in a matter of months. i miss when life was simple in my trailer, but i feel i can never go back bc of the things that happened to me while living there. i know it doesn’t make sense its very complicated feelings. if you understand where im coming from, please give some advice and kindness. life is not easy in the city and i am so, so tired.
I would rather live in a well kept trailer than a run down house. I think the stigma against a trailer is how some people don’t keep them up like they should. But they do go down in value though
I lived in a trailer for most my life and I didn’t mind it my mom always made it feel like a home . My husband currently wants to buy a trailer for our next home but my only concern is since we live in Florida is hurricane season especially since we are closer to the coast.

I truly think it’s depends on how you take care of it back in high school this girl had a nice place but they destroyed it the porch fell through they had over 20 cats so the ammonia in the house was awful, things stacked to the ceiling so there was only one path to walk through. The girl would take showers at my house because she had a hole above the shower and there was a whole family of birds living in it. And you can say it’s your situation Ik her parents were the main cause but flying out to Disney land once a month instead of fixing your home for safety really makes no sense and is frustrating because they could fix it and everyone else in the neighborhood took pride in keeping their home clean so they wouldn’t get a bad rep
We looked into buying a mobile home but the lot fees were astronomical. It's definitely something I would consider if we could buy land and own it, but where I live, lot fees are not small.
I just don’t like trailers especially in areas known for hurricanes. Now, K might change my mind if it’s going to sit on my own land. I don’t want to be so close to so many people or pay lot rent.
I wish this kind of thing was available in Australia! I would be totally fine to live in something like this its lovely. Anyone correct me if I’m wrong but it seems low cost living where housing is concerned is impossible to find in aus
I agree. I wish there was more here in my town they're all 55 and up. The main thing is you really need to own the property because lot fees get crazy. Although property taxes are also ridiculous. 🤷♀️ but moble homes are a great option.
My dad owns a triple wide in front of a lake. He's retired. It's fully paid. He's debt free, and bought it after divorcing my mom in 2000. It's a beautiful home. On beautiful land. He's almost 80 and he still has his garden . Ppl judge while drowning in debt. That's just dumb pride
the only issue with this is that since we’re in america, these communities can be bought by private equity companies and they can legally change the lot rent basically overnight to a place where it is unaffordable to evict tenants and then have rental properties after evicting the former homeowners
