I usually reference how Smash Ultimate handled similar characters with minor move changes, i.e. Echo Fighters. Yes, I understand that they counted every different form and fusion and that each one has different specials and sparking attacks, but frankly, that's not enough to make it worth having to scroll through them all. Make it a sub menu. Select the Character, then select the fusion or form. Shouldn't be as bad as it is to get the character/form I wanna use if it's not at the top or bottom. Again, no problem with them having all the different forms, but like, at the cost of a usable UI and the lack of real different characters. Like, we have Whis and Beerus but no Chompa and Vados? There's no reason to have Syn Shenron and none of the other Shadow Dragons. there's no reason to be lacking in the alternate outfits when there's battle damaged outfits as alt choices and you can get that damage in the match anyways. I'm not saying it's a bad roster, but it could be better. Particularly given they're not likely to bring any characters not from Super Hero or Daima.
Yeah, it's unfortunate that being overly negative gets more views. I'm not really in the YT game for that, I say the things I think and if that happens to be negative or critical I'm gonna say it. I have generally good intentions with it. Like, I want things to be good, I don't just look for things to hate. I put my voice out there to hopefully be one in the crowd asking for things to be better. Even when something is great, that's no excuse to not want even higher highs. Well, if you wanna know; I've really enjoyed Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince and Sker Ritual recently. Put in nearly 15 hours of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero too. Very hype for more time with Delta Force Hawk Ops as well. I have a few genres I hop between so that's a rather eclectic list.
@@NathanaelHunter I never played the first two before, but I’m about to get sparkling zero in a little bit myself! I played a ton of Xenoverse 2 so it will be really nice to have an actual budokai game again, especially on PC. To be fair though they do have an item that boosts stats and you can play early if you pay extra. Delta force hawk ops definitely has potential too imo, I just dislike operators being tied to certain characters. I would have preferred no operators and just the skills or an operator skillset you choose separate if it’s about balance. I know it’s not hugely important I just like having more control over my characters appearance when possible. Also more destruction would be great. I’m looking forward to the new Dynasty Warriors too personally, but got to see a bit more before I’m sold on it.

The game is a total shit show..... and I blame the Epic servers. I never had as many crash to desktop/disconnects in previous titles as I have in this game. Start a match and crash or all my team crashes out. Try to join rooms and the text doesn't load. This game was over a year late to the party from it's JP release so there were even less players in the pool to play with..... and it gets pretty lonely on this missions that go on for way too long when players cannot join or disconnect out and cannot rejoin or join in and deploy. EDF 7 is going into the wait and see category.

You want to attract more people to your product, games are played for x amount of time and then they drop leaving only a hardcore fanbase that plays it religiously this is the case with any game. Injecting new major updates re-attracts people to occasionally come back to the game and invest them more for x amount of time, it's a good and sound business model when done right. So far you haven't made a single argument and you already nearly wasted 5 whole minutes of our lives with your unintelligible tantrum. The only thing I could partially side on is the cosmetics opinion, yes a roadmap driven by only cosmetic changes is horrible, but luckily that's not the case. But since it's a GamesWorkshop product of the table top game Warhammer 40.0000 and circling back to your retarded comment "touching outside their target audience" GamesWorkshop fans waste thousands and thousands of dollars each year for cosmetic changes on the table top game alone. You really think that they would be bothered by this? the target audience probably will be like: " Oh wait, it's only 5 bucks for this skin? that's not too bad! a combat patrol box usually starts at 30 bucks and that's without t he paint, brushes etc." Maybe re-edit your script and video before you come off as entirely moronic.

Space marine 1 had pvp in various forms (Team deathmatch, capture the point, king of the hill, and a dreadnought mode) additionally it also had dlc packs for cosmetics BUT more was available on release including full customization options for chaos players

i wish there was a 'disagree with' button because i dont like to dislike someone expressing their opinion because i dont agree with them on some or part or all. i think you hit the spot with it being hyped as this or that thing. all it's trying to be is a warhammer 40k space marine game. i also think the free stuff coming is mostly game mechanic stuff. its the optional battlepass thats all the cosmetics. ames workshop - i dont know what their problem is but my guess is they had a bad experience making a video game (i wont say what i suspect that was but it was a LONG time ago). then they got out of it, missing a massive boatload of cash, and almost went down with the other table top games that wiped when people realised you could make adventures and turn based combat games work easier on a console or computer. now they keep close control of their IP but they dont probably have the funds to buy or set up their own in house game studio, so they have to franchise it out to a partner. and the control maybe needs to be loosened a little. i love the review saying its a bad gears thing. gears was inspired by warhammer 40k - and someone claimed that gears would have been a 40k game but GW got cold feet and bailed, so the assets were repurposed.
Nail on the head. I see it all the time, they do interviews and the people behind a lot of the games and products coming out these days aren't actually interested in them at all and they just want to change them to fit what they want it to be rather than expand on it.
If all of your skins and cosmetics are saved to the client side, there is nothing stopping you from unlocking them all with cheats. Having to connect to the servers verifies that you actually earned them. I'm not even going to watch the rest because the first take is already clown shoes.
Nobody. I never said that. I do this with tons of major releases, even ones I'm enjoying playing. Play what you wanna play, but I think its a disservice to the consumers as a whole to not point out the issues that are in the industry these days, even with the products that are better than others.
If you want to state that any seasonal content/pass is objectively evil and wrong first off that's incorrect, by definition that is a subjective viewpoint BUT its well within yours or anyones right to give an opinion especially when you are so clearly passionate about this subject. Secondly if a games goal is to remain within the public zeitgeist and stay relevant what do you think they should do differently and how would you go about making money to ensure you can pay your devs to keep working on a game that's already out with intended free content updates? Another topic you brought up was the runtime of the campaign, most of the greats like Halo and the original COD: MW(1-3) have a runtime of 4-8h each, so why is an 8 hour campaign bad in this case in your opinion. Also I completely agree with the shady DRM installs and the forced online, I don't think anybody with half a brain appreciates those. Finally the reviews are not a mark of the game they are a mark of the player and if you have a problem with the way valve handles that, okay... but what does that have to do with the business model for Space Marine 2, its relevance in your video is tenuous at best. PS you are 1000% right about Warhammer fans being shit about voting with their wallet, most are completely addicted and entranced and will never admit it. XD
FOMO. Season Passes play on FOMO and that is an undeniably negative. Live Service games inherently need to use FOMO or require a paid subscription. That's the business model. Paying full price for a game that makes you grind for paid content they sell you AFTER the original purchase is objectively bad. Just because SM2 does it slightly less scumily than other games do does NOT mean the trend as a whole isn't still bad. I use this game as a vehicle to point out bad trends, not that they're always the worst possible state they can be in. People don't seem to get that for some reason.

Okay to address that first point the season pass system is not absolute across all games, they CAN play on fomo and most have(which we both can agree is predatory and works off negative tribal fears in the human mind), but there exist counterpoints for that as well. Halo infinite does not have a FOMO season pass system for one example, and to my knowledge this SM2 season pass does not cease to exist after its through either. For your second point about grinding for paid content, I'm curious why that's negative. There was never a fuss people had about progression based cosmetic customization in the original halo games, on the contrary they were praised for. Additionally the grind of cosmetic items(colors, armor, gun skins) is not a negative from the perspective of myself and many other players so I find it hard to believe you are basing this argument objectively when objectively speaking many players don't share your (subjective)perspective. Also I'd like to readdress how you believe moving forward game companies who don't seek to immediately abandon their online games can find long term ways of paying their developers to update and add essential content (guns, classes, missions, game modes). Pretty good game but overrated and the progression system on operations is wayyyyyy too grindy with bullet sponge enemies to make up for the lack of content. If they revamped operation progress it would be a much better game.
nah, the popularity of Soyce Midrine 2 is because it's a mid game in a sea of slop, the first game from years ago was good, and Warhammer is still a popular franchise, no thanks to GeeDub.

You say forced online is bad because it locks you out of the content outside the campaign. Has anyone told him that the other two modes are online pve and online pvp? Of course they force you to be online for that shit.
Sker Ritual is similar with having a PVE mode and that works fully offline. There is no excuse for this game to have an effectively forced online for a mode that other titles do not force online for.

I will never understand how people can get so violently mad at criticism. Like, it's a product I'm expected to pay money for, why am I suddenly NOT supposed to want it to be in a better state? Sure, to some these are small issues, but if you just don't say anything that can snowball and if enough small issues are there then it just makes it a product not worth getting. Slight issue I have is with the simplicity of the guns and the diversity of shooting mechanics. I just beat the campaign. Haven't played the pve yet but wepon customization would improve it quite a bit. Also would love more armor customization options. I understand your online perspective with the game however i really enjoy playing the campaign with friends. Been looking for a co op campaign game like this since halo. Game maybe dropped twice playing the whole campaign. Not bad if you think about the other live service games we have *cough helldivers. You highlighted things you found negative. Im really enjoying the pvp and pve but this game literally has no reason to be fully online for the singe player campaign plus the grind to get decent cosmetics is also annoying asf, im so sick of people glazing live service games, there is no such thing as a live service done right. Its a predatory business model made to waste peoples time and make them treat games like a second job, stop defending terrible business practices just because your a fan of the IP and own all the glorified funko pops. its also a full price game with barely any content to show for it, maybe even less than helldivers yet they charge an extra 40 AUD for the standard edition.
I think the game is ok and the business practices bad. And it is ridiculous how many people here defend micro and macrotransations. However it is vastly overhyped. It is a solid 6/10. Giving it the same review scores as Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Wukong or Nier: Automata is simply ridiculous. But gaming reviews have been like that for a while. You either get 8/10+ or the game is "trash" apparently.
It is shocking how people get super pissed at anyone who talks about the issues with this game or anything Warhammer related. Like, accept criticism and move on. I didn't even say anything that should be so controversial. People cannot handle criticism of things they like, even when those criticisms are entirely warranted.
I'd play this game if only for the fact that it apparently is a decent co-op crossplay shooter which is getting increasingly rare these days. I played Hell Divers 2 for a while but the devs balanced the fun out of it.
There are definitely better coop shooters with crossplay that care a LOT more for the consumer. I'm not saying don't play this, but I am saying it's better to consider the options and if it's not a big deal to have the small issues that make it a death of a thousand cuts problem to some people.

The other person in question refuses to play on the PC they own so I'm limited to just crossplay games to play with them. I'll take any crossplay co-op shooter I can get.
