As a kid growing up in the late 70's, 80's and 90's, we use to record a lot of TV from those days starting in 1978 when my family got our first VCR. We use to record everything from TV shows, concerts, movies video games, computers, pop culture, sub culture, specials and much more. This channel is dedicated to transferring select VHS content from my extensive archive of video tapes and upload them to youtube for perseverance. Since my family recorded so many show back in the day, this channel will NOT be a specific genre. This channel will be a pretty well mixed bag of 70's, 80s and 90's goodness. Enjoy!
Loved being a kid in the early 80s with the sights and sounds of arcades. My dad never gave me more than $1 to play, though, so I always sucked at games. lol
It only had 3 good games punch out super Mario brothers 2 Zelda the rest of the games failed on it you would have to go to the arcade to play them nothing was close to the arcade the arcade rules the world of video games
I still have my old nes. I changed the 72 pin connector and it works fine. Being 43 now lol Kids now will never know what we had back then and the memories we made with our friends.
Damn Japanese! Nintendo was nothing more than a scam to keep American children playing games rather than studying to become the best! It was nothing more than capitalist competition! But, damn: Super Mario World is still one of the best games every made. And I still own it and played it tonight.
Video games will make kids violent! Rock n Roll will make kids disobey the rules! Children that don't work in a factory will start gangs! The youth spending all their time in coffee shops will cause sloth and gluttony! Books being made available to anyone will cause mass outbreaks of indolence! Different words, same complaint. All throughout history there will always be "moral guardians" outraged at the new thing.
It's so quaint how parents in the eighties worried about their kids getting addicted to Nintendo games from playing them an hour or two each day when nowadays everyone's addicted to their phones and can't go five minutes without them.
This is amazing! One of my favorite games of all time! Never knew it was originally a laserdisc game until last night when my friend told me to check out this video! Thank you so much for sharing! Amazing skill displayed here! It seems much harder than the released version, with many more trucks on the road and mines to avoid right from the start. I used to always have the high score on the one they had in the Barcade in Chelsea in New York City, but I don't know if I could match the skills shown here! Thanks again for posting! I hope one day that I can get a crack at this version of the game, either by emulation or going to an arcade convention!
I miss this era, PC was to expensive, c64 was clunky, few people had master system, it was basically just nintendo and we all played the same heavy hitters like mario 2 and zelda
"Assembler is fun and game and 100 times faster and doesn't suck up all the memory of a computer like with Python." Yeah, have fun working roughly under the same circumstances as the guys at 5:22 80th with assembler was tough, especially as a game developer. Sure, huge fun at game shops etc. and with friends - but deadlines, pressure, etc. doesn't make it a better choice over modern production environments.
I heard John Stossel went up to the local arcade expert David S and asked “Isn’t Mario fake?” David responded by slapping John in the side of the head with his Nintendo controller and said “Is that fake?” John lost his hearing in that ear.
video games aren't toys, its a media, I hate the fact that they viewed it as toys, they are games, but its a form of entertainment, like tv, movies, ect. but instead of doing nothing, you actually get to do whatever you want.
Wow this was like a time machine for me. I still remember my original NES. I took that thing with me everywhere, wven though you needed a tv and electricity to make it work
