Welcome to Up in the Air! The goal here is to share useful information about drones, programming drones, aerial photography, aerial videography, and all the things that make these fun to do and get great results! I will be uploading videos related to UAVs, how to program a drone, DJI, autonomous flying, Dronelink, Litchi, timelapse, waypoints, hyperlapse, orbits, light painting, FAA regs, night sky photography (including the Milky Way with a traditional DSLR planted on the ground), and more. I'll be focusing on those things that make autonomous, programmed flight cool, and how it can be added to any interested UAV pilot's skill set to help with capturing cinematic video, dramatic photos, and executing complex flying missions with confidence and safety. Please consider subscribing to the channel!
Great video Robert. I have the M30T and M3E, but I still use the A2 for quick missions. Think I’ll try Dronelink now for the air2. Looks better for mission routes than mme. Thanks!
First of all, excellent tutorial, thank you. When you set the "return home" what would happen if you opted for "auto land"? Would it land at the starting point or at the end of the mapping grid?
Hi, that's a really cool video. May I ask, do you have control over the drone while it is executing the flight mission? Can you move it around if there is some sort of unexpected danger e.g. birds, obstacles, other aircraft etc. or can you land it if you need too before the end of the mission?
You can PAUSE the mission and take control. When you RESUME, the mission resumes from where it stopped and completes the mission. You can even resume the mission after several days.
this morning made my first mission, as far I had only problems installing it on RC. First of all - my mission was not successful due to the loss of signal between RC and 2s. I did not see a flight map, only a black polygon. I couldn't create new mission plans, waypoints, or whatever. The mission I created yesterday night on my PC, was not there in dronelink app. The idea to turn 2s into a useful tool not only a toy is great, but unfortunately, I was not able to. Any ideas, I am open to learning and finding out what went wrong. Atbildēt
Hi. I recently acquired a mavic air 2 with smart controller. I saw this video and it looks very easy to plan missions. With my dji smart controller, I can't seem to install any apps including the dronelink. How can I use dronelink with the mavic air 2? thank you!
@9:30 theres also a field in the planning that lets you pick - none (an instant shift),linear, or curved(adjustable) to transition from POI to POI on the path actions advanced tab
I have a noon question, not trying to be smart or funny. But what exactly is the purpose of mapping an area that is clearly already mapped ? Like the central park, you're already looking at a map of it while you set up your flight path. I just got my first drone (air 2s) a few weeks ago and have recently learned about drone link. It sounds really cool but i just don't understand the practical applications of the mapping. Can someone please exain this to me ? Please and thank you !
Because it is better quality imagery than google earth and more up to date. Sometimes google maps images can be several years old. Drone mapping can be utilised for all different types of industries such as construction site progress, farming and monitoring conservation etc.
great video man. but this is gone be cool if you share the original files with us because RU-vid compression is so harsh and make the footage so grainy and because of that seeing the difference from your usage is hard.
