My first mod was a set of paddles as the stock ones are horrid. I have now just ordered a set of raceline springs and dampers as the stock damping is lacking and the car has poor body control. Then it will be the brakes. They feel under nourished on a B road and would Wilt quickly on track. My car is road biased so upgraded pads and discs plus some extra cooling. I see no point in giving. Car more power until it can stop and corner appropriately. Then. It’s most likely an intake and a tune, but for me they come lower down the list.
I can see this upgrade causing heat problems, pushing over 100 bhp extra thru a standard cat and opf. Extra power means extra heat and it's got to go somewhere.
This is why lots of time goes into developing a product like this. I’m sure RacingLine’s calibration team are more than aware of the EGT’s involved; plus with this being a big turbo, not a stock turbo it’ll be vastly more efficient in terms of heat at higher power, and larger air volumes at comparable boost pressures.
I have just had a Racingline PCM fitted to my Australian 2021 Audi RSQ3 and then tested it on Launch Control. Without PCM, three 0-100kph launches at 4.59, 4.50 and 4.49sec, waited 30 minutes and then with PCM 0-100kph at 4.29, 4.21 and 4.19. Tried 60kph to 100kph, 80kph to 140kph and 120 to 200kph in Sport Normal and Dynamic mode, totally smooth through the acceleration range. With an extra 100NM Torque and 40KW of Power, a great addition while awaiting for the Stage 1+ in Audi Warranty, thanks @Racingline 👏👍🙏
@@cruzin2k3 Once out of warranty, (18 months) and the ECU has been cracked,I will take it straight to Stage 1+ with DSG tune, and fit the air intake and cooler. Expecting the performance to improve based on the PCM KW and NM increases and other Racingline Stage 1 and 1+ software should see the RSQ3 get to 3.8-3.70-100kph, not bad for a heavier SUV. The same engine RS3 may get down to 3.2-3.1 seconds 0-100KPH with a Stage 1+ 🤞
Why would someone go for this over stage 2 with such a small upgrade in power. At least for the mk7 golf r you can get 480hp and have it compliant once you use a Milltek or HJS sports cat (I'm talking about Germany which is even more restrictive than the uk). Maybe I'm missing something? If it focused solely on the mk7.5 it makes a lot more sense.
@@billmanello I'm only aware of Milltek and HJS ones for the mk7, I'm not sure if their is one for the opf/gpf 7.5 version. The EC compliant ones are about double the price as an FYI. I spent 1500 euro on my EC compliant HJS sports cat that is made by Milltek.
With this being an OPF equipped car, any downpipe upgrade instantly makes the vehicle no longer road legal here in the UK. At the moment for the Non-OPF equipped cars, the EC approved version of the Milltek Downpipe is £2090.00 The turbo on this one is only £1400 - making this almost an identical price fully fitted versus a road legal Stage 2. Not only that it's 30-35hp more, plus available for the 2019+ cars with OPF. This is effectively a road legal and phenomenal alternative to Stage 2 for around the same price.
@@AB-lk2ri That's why I was saying this only makes sense for OPF cars as with mk7/early mk7.5 non OPF cars you can easily get a compliant 500hp car. I haven't seen any stage 3 cars use the EC approved CAT/OPF upgrade from milltek (a place a few km from me here in Germany advertises it though I haven't seen on Millteks site yet so I wasn't sure if it was released) This is why I didn't talk on it, also I haven't seen how much power it can make.
Have you guys done a video where you recommend upgrades over known issue parts rather than performance upgrades? Happy with my cars performance so more looking to make it bullet proof than faster….any help appreciated!!
Can you get the R600 with the cotton filter for the EA888 Gen3.B engine? Can only find the R600 intake with the foam filter for the EA888 Gen3.b engine.
The biggest weakness of the car from the factory are mismatched front are rear spring rates , too soft rear sub-frame bushes and mediocre dampers. From factory M140 is more of a muscle car then sports car because it will put you in a ditch if you send it on a even moderately bumpy road. My order would be: rear sub-frame poly bushes, springs, dampers, rear sub-frame brace, front M2 suspension arms, LSD, brakes. Just google M2 rear subframe and compare it to stock F20 subframe. The bloody thing is probably 2 times stronger and solid mounted.
its old but i tought and iam keep getting blamed for pushing 100-200 only 9.58 seconds consistantly at a DA of 1145m with a slope of 2.3 uphill. Seeing this close to DA 120m is a bit concerning...
Great video. Many thanks. Just a quick question please. If I buy with the app only, will it remember my previous setting (say Race +) will it stay in that mode every time I restart the car or will I have to reconnect the app every time and reset to race + ? Many thanks.
Fantastic results! 034 quote around 537ft-lbs to the wheels, you guys with the lighter 2 piece brake rotors and forged wheels appear to have unlocked at additional 30 isn ft-lbs of torque at 566 with the reduction in rotational mass! Great build wheels and rotors can be an afterthought, but this legitimately shows a huge improvement
I bought a RacingLine product recently from a dealer in the US for my RS3 and having installation issues. I've tried contacting RacingLine with no luck. Is this company still in business over in the UK?
I'm a bit annoyed at the fact I've had my gearbox oil and rear diff oil changed by awesome. And yet nobody told me this advice on this as i would definitely buy these for my audi 🙄
Hi, Ste from Awesome here. Really sorry to hear you were not offered this, if you give us a call or email us, I will arrange a free sump plug for when you have your next service done. (which ever service you are due next)
Oulton is a brilliant track 👍🏼 Looked like you both had fun and the Beetle did well for first time out. Gearbox sounds like it needs some TLC though! 😊
Looked great fun but But the gearbox needs Attention be a shame to rip it apart with another engine and running gear maybe get a nice mk 2 GTI track car
