I wish i didn't buy Star Wars DBG. I already had Star Realms Frontiers and it's just better in my opinion. Worst thing I've found in Star Wars is sometimes early in the game the galaxy row is jammed up with one faction of cards and the other player doesn't have enough attack yet to bounty hunt/sabotage so gets pretty stuck. It's annoying..
@RockManorGames Yeah, I do prefer that too. The bases having their own power is cool too. There's probably an easy house rule to churn the galaxy row 🤔
It seems to me that, if you're willing to give up some control, you have nothing to lose by initially pitching to publishers. This will give you valuable feedback as to how your game is perceived (good potential or not) and minimize time invested (creating a sell sheet). Then, if you don't get any interest shown by publishers, you can always pursue the self publishing route if desired.
This looks so extremely promising! Very exciting. Do I understand it correctly, that it will be possible to combine the automata with all play forms / modes content? The hand cards seem extremely small, is that due to the camera setup?
My son has developed and created 3 games . One I have seen. Pre production of and I am thrilled for him. I am listening to your video to get educated in this whole process. I can tell yiu I had no idea how much work goes into all of this and I pray his ideas will be in production someday. I am amazed of how much he has already put into this and the time and effort of which you listed and spoke of.. I want to ask you if I may , where did you find the backers for your games? I know he has been offered money for his pre production board game. How do you know if it’s a ood sale? He is going to pursue this on his own. Like I said has had a offer but felt hmm? Well I may have something here . I truly believe that he does also. I’m encouraging him to invest in himself ..and his great games created.
Just got the game delivered and I’m so glad you did this playthrough of the solo! I learn so much better by watching than reading. I wish I wouldn’t have missed the first 5 rounds, but I still got the gist!
I get that you like conventions better. Its easy to answer questions as people have them. Here you have to predict any questions and explain everything well. I appreciate seeing a game in action and cant go to a convention to learn/watch. These types of videos are important. Especially when rules have glaring omissions. Keep the videos coming.
Maybe a suggestion for the next stream, could the game volume be turned down a bit? Specifically the music if that feature is available yet? It kinda drowns out your talking quite often making it hard to hear you guys clearly... and it does get repetitive after a few mins. Overall its looking good, excited to see it progress.
I'm impressed. I usually avoid kickstarters for video games as they almost always go to crap. I remember backing Boss Monster for android & steam but they ran like crap, hardly had any support, and are both delisted now. But honestly I'm liking what I'm seeing right now, I'll be there.
Thanks so much! It was really important to us that we didn’t rope backers in on this process early and force them to wait while all the difficulties of video game development cause further delays. This game is playable and we’re in the final sprints of development.
We would love to add all these features, expansions and more but we’re going to need your feedback and support during the Kickstarter. Assuming things go well we’d love to add all these features.
Is this going to be up to date with the new "meta" of the game as of Wasted Wilds? Or is this purely a base game as a start then more maby added later? I thought the rule about mulligan was scrapped too (I can't watch the video with sound )
It is easy. If you can do it alone, do it alone. If you ABSOLUTELY CAN'T do it on your own, use a publisher. NO ONE will manage YOUR game as good as YOU, if you want to!
Thank you for this video. Since the con deck and a whole lot of the odd and unique cards for each case are not stamped with “Case #XX” in the corner, I had no idea where to put them
It's a silly topic, really, as it's similar to whether you should work for someone else as an electrician or start your own business. The variables are all very similar to any industry. The learning curve, relationship building, etc.
With the 3 expansion sets and all the variant packs. And being able to play single player. Star realms all day. So many ways to play plus its on pc phone etc. You buy one digital version unlocks all digital version. So yea star realms for verianty respect for the customer and many ways you can play.
Dude... it's time to upgrade your setup. Better cam and better sound will inprove these video's soo much. You can hardly follow what's happening on the screen.
it's unfortunate that the box doesn't contain a dedicated slot for storing the adventurer cards. I laminated my adventurer cards and was hoping for a slot slightly larger than the individual boxes so they could fit neatly, but it seems that isn't the case.
I put all my duplicate cards in the Outriders Box. It's a nicer way of fully utilizing the other boxes. Here's my setup for the boxes that make it better for storing stuff. 1. The Original Set A Watch Box holds all the character cards. 2. Swords of The Coin holds all the Coins, Dice, and Tokens. 3. Forsaken Isles holds all the Doomed Run envelopes.
1) The Deluxe version boxes with sleeves are far too tight fitting in the insert. 2) The linen finish is laughable. The cards are almost completely void of a finish.
Is it just me, but if you have the KS versions with the sleeves, will they not fit in the box vertical? They do fit horizontal though. Not complaining about it, but just wondering if they were not meant to have their sleeves on.
