Love the video! Thats a great routine you have <3! I changed my life, especially my mornings, after I read and started following Robin Sharma. He also talks about the 66-day study. Have you read The 5 AM Club? I need to add stretching, you're very flexible! I wake up at 04:10 three days a week to work out, get home to shower, and then drive the kids to school. I love your RU-vid channel. I live in Sweden with my family and hope to visit the Azores this spring :) I'd love to live a 'simpler' life, not on the mainland, with milder winters. I'm very curious about the Azores. But with kids, schools also need to be part of the equation... we'll see, I'll start with a visit. Looking forward to your next video! Best, Sandro. #morningroutine #longevity
Yes, it is a fantastic experience to participate in these festivals. This year I took part in the festival in Vila de Nordeste, which I hope will soon become my second hometown. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Kind regards, Bente
Thanks for sharing! Very different from celebration in the USA. I don't think you completely get it until you spend the entire week in a celebration compared to just stopping my to watch for 2 or 3 hours.
Bom dia. I have visited mainland Portugal 🇵🇹 and the island of Madeira as well which both are beautiful in their own ways. For myself Sao Miguel is my happy place where I feel inner peace. It is a hikers paradise for people such as myself and the people are very friendly.
Have you had any problems communicating with trades people. I believe many of the locals do speak some English or very good English. I was born on Sao Miguel and just started returning back from Canada 🇨🇦 recently. Beautiful island.
Ola, yes I have found that most of the trades people I have come across only speak Portuguese and most of them don't want to use a google translator on a cell phone to communicate with. I have found it extremely difficult to get an electrician to work on my place, if you have any connections with one, do let me know..
@pirate9tigerlee Bom dia. I wish that I could help you. Unfortunately, there seems to be a shortage of good skilled workers on all the islands. Many have left to work in other countries for more money. Even if you speak Portuguese well, it's not guaranteed to find dependable trade workers from what I have observed from experiences from others. I am a licensed cabinetmaker in Canada 🇨🇦 I would love to semi retire and work on the island where I was born, but the pay is very poor. It's a real problem in Portugal 🇵🇹 at the moment.
Yes I have, most of the trades people don't speak English and don't comfortable using Google translator. If they are interested, they will bring a friend to translate for them. I have had alot of them come by to look at I what I want done, but will never follow up or return a phone call or e-mail.
I am glad someone else noticed. But I thing if you buy in Oct/Nov vs. Apr/May you will get a better deal. As everybody is trying to buy before busy season and trying to sell after the summer season. That is the time I am going to buy a passenger van.
I love living in the Sao Miguel. I am just giving me honest experience. I am not trying to paint everything as perfect or horrible. Cars are just more expensive and there is less options than in the USA, but insurance is way cheaper. My experience with biking in the Azores is amazing great, while my airplane flights with SATA have not been so good. The air is clean and the temperate is perfect most of the time. If I was buying a car in October/November things might be a little different.
Thanks for the comment, I build this video for a presentation of the CoLiving Incubator Demo Day to show during the Question and Answer section. www.artof.co/demo-day
It was a horrible start, but you will have to wait two weeks for episode 10 to come out for the ending of my trip. Thanks for waiting and commenting. Have you been to the website: SoloSeniorCoLiving.com?
I am glad you like the color. I did hear that that pink color was only allow for rich citizens in the past. But since I plan to rename the home to the Vila of the Golden Mermaid, it will be Yellow/Goldenrod color and white instead of the pink and green.
"Angra du Hermosa" (3:51) ???? I will never understand how the Portuguese word "Heroismo", which is spelled similarly to the English word "Heroism" and means exactly the same in both languages, ends up being pronounced in the way that you did in this video. And you're not the first, either. A while back, I came across a video from a couple of Canadians visiting the island who missed the correct pronunciation by a mile by adding an extra syllable to the word "Heroismo", a syllable that wasn't there, to begin with -- a common occurrence among foreigners trying to pronounce Portuguese names and words... I wonder why that is?! And then some people say that Portuguese is a very difficult language...
Ola, I am very sorry I mispronounced the word "Heroismo". I have mispronounced many words in my native language of English as well. Sorry, it is one of my weakness. I try not to let my inability to correctly pronounce word from making videos or speaking in general.
