Ngl the transition from seeing the cinderblocks to you riding with a cigar in your mouth was nice as hell and left me feeling good. Keep up the good work brother!
I grew up on a farm and my dad had a Ford 860. It had a front end loader we used for cleaning manure out of the barn. It could pull a 3 bottom plow all day. Dad bought a new John Deere haybine and a new John Deere round baler in the mid 80’s and his Ford 860 could cut, rake, bale and transport enough hay to the barn for a 70 year old man to do it all by himself.
Love it!! I took down some monster trees this year and I couldn’t believe the strength of this 860 to lift and carry monster logs across the property. Such a work horse! Thanks for sharing bud!
I planted buckwheat one year, the deer went nuts over it. The next year did the same thing and nothing deer didn't eat it., is there different varieties?
Good question. Not really sure on the variety. This is the second year I’m using it. Some claim deer don’t eat buckwheat which is ridiculous because I also had them go nuts over it last year. They ate it and bedded in it. Guess we’ll see what this year brings as I purchased from a different supplier. My primary goal with the buckwheat is to smother our weeds in preparation for fall food plots. Another thing to keep in mind is that maybe another preferred food source was available to your deer that they preferred over the buckwheat which resulted in them spending less time in your buckwheat.
Yep Long Beard XRs. I been using them for years. It happened twice in last several years. Also, haven’t given the gun a good cleaning in a bit. Could be that too!
Lineman will not prevent a fall, only holds laterally, not vertically, use a tether with a decent hitch that will not fall without tension, or even use a pole to put a rope up high with a bridge attached, very safe
