why is nobody talking about taylor louderman being ocean?? the existence of clips of her acting as ocean are practically lost media, so it's something quite interesting to take into account!!
You have to picture this... I was all of 18 years old, it was 1980 (October 3st, Friday night!! Halloween! ) and I was newly enlisted into the US Air Force. I was very fortunate as I was in the crypto-linguist field (which meant you had to study a language and in our case - Russian... remember the Cold War?). Well, our tech school was the Defense Language Institute of Monterey, CA. It was incredible since so many of us were all 'cut from the same cloth". Fairly intelligent (not genius level, but damn near it), quirky senses of humor, and very eclectic. You would see someone with Greek Philosophy books in their hands or musings from Carlos Castenada or medieval English poems or literature. Those types. Anyway, one of my good friends says "Have you ever seen Rocky Horror?" And of course I said "No" and he goes "There's a midnight show down on Cannery Row, let's go!" This place was called the "Pillow Theater" and it had, swear to god, pillows to just lay on instead of seats (although there were two small rows way in the back of regular style theater seats). So off we go and we sat near the front (my preference) and off I went on a journey that still reverberates in my brain almost 44 years later! Also, I was gay and that was not allowed in the military back then, so it felt like "forbidden fruit"! It was a bit of a slow start, but when Frank n Furter makes his entrance, I was freaking BLOWN AWAY! Just fell in love with this movie! He and I still say it is perhaps the best movie entrance of all time!! And now, the guy who took me to it is coming out to visit me after not seeing each other for over 30 years! And I have a remodeled $20K man cave/ theater room just for ROCKY HORROR! (Well, not really, but you know... It was primarily built for Lord of the RIngs...). Anyway, that's my story!! 62 years old and still Time Warping....
I act and recently did newsies. The stuff they were saying about being drenched in sweat is VERY true. Our Jack had to replace his shirt because the entire back was soaked😭😭😭
Everyone seems to be wrapped up in the dress n transexualism. But it is a musical 1st. Its like saying Jesus christ superstar is religion. But its a musical first.
An entire sub-culture of people everywhere based on fun and the charisma of one man "Tim Curry". May the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" continue for years to come :).
