The show Preacher wants to be, when it grows up. Especially as this drew so heavily on the comic. Kai, the Meat Man, the fighting holy man, even named his dog “Preacher”.
Hood was still recovering from the fight and was nowhere near 100%. I doubt he would’ve been anywhere near as confident if Hood came out of that fight unscathed.
I used to follow the main character, Anthony Starr, when he first started out acting in a New Zealand series called outrageous fortune. He was an outstanding actor then and he's only gotten better with time
Proctor: "You should be afraid of me." Hood: "I'm gonna fuck your niece you have a crush on, kill your psychopath bodyguard who murdered her and burn your organisation to the ground." Proctor: "iM gOnNa kIlL yOu1"
I haven't watched TV in years, good to see the human race is 110% worse than I could have ever imagined just a few years later. doom is inevitable, how violent do you think society can become until it nothing bit pure evil?
Please....read some history books. Mankind is not perfect by any stretch, but violence, death, and evil were just as prevalent in the past if not more so than today. If you live in any western country, you are living better than 99% of the human race ever did.
@@H.K.5 Yeah right, BUT, correct me if I'm wrong, didn't 'sheriff' Hood and his band rob a casino and didn't they shoot, indiscriminately at the chasing casino security guys? Presumably innocents with wives, kids and mortgages. Yeah, right, better than Proctor in every possible way.
I did not get all the way through the show, but I found him rather dislikeable and hard to root for, at the start, as well; moreso than other shows where you've got a villain for the protagonist.
As a kiwi, i will always know him as the Van and Jethro. His ability to play both roles together is why I was so excited to see him deal with the duality of Homelander when the show first came to my attention
"Im a cop , you're a criminal " its like he's talking to himself , almost as of Kai is meant to be a physical embodiment of Hoods past that he's still trying to defeat
What a hypocrite Lucas was, LOL, Ivana, I mean Ana too. They had criminal blood literally flowing through their veins, they were just pretending. I liked all of them though. Proctor for ex. is one of these guys, if he says he will give you 5000$ for butchering, he will. but don't steal a single loin. :D
