Join me as I discover my long lost hobby I left behind over 20 years ago. Watch as I fumble and learn new techniques that have become popular over the time I was M.I.A.
despite not being into Warhammer or what ever the series is, this build is very cool. I particularly like the gun and the firing effect. I have yet to utilize LED filaments like that into a build but I am looking forward to the day I do as it is very effective.
So Cool! maybe add some of that black smoke you mentioned billowing from the exhaust pipes, and you can also use the smoke to show forward movement as well..just my 2 cents..
Hi i have problem with settings on chitubox on mars 5 ultra New printer and not even test are good. Can you send me your bottom Layers, exposure time of bottom leyers and thicknes of normal Layers and exposure time?
@@ScaleModelGeekthat’s all that matters man! And to be honest, you may be the one that convinces me to invest in a decent 3d printer and a laser cutter! Haha the fact that I have a Cnc background in my career and being one who enjoys similar crafting hobbies as yourself, it’s a wonder I’ve not caved already. The possibilities are seemingly infinite of what they’d come in handy for! 🤘🏽
Got the ELEGOO Mercury X today and noticed my mars 4 plate doesn't suspend like other plates do in the advertisement. Noticed you submerged the whole plate and lock screw. Thanks for confirming the issue I noticed.
Yeah you Definatly When WAY Overboard with the Weathering, Looks like it Was picked up straight out of a Dump, then had some dirt thrown on it!!!! If that was the look you were going for, Nailed it... But I just don't get the weathering like that, Nobody that is into bikes Treats them like that Just WAY TO MUCH, even in a world like Mad Max things are not that bad... Close but Not quite, I Mean if it is in a Extreme Post Apocaliptic Era, Okay I see it, Other wise it should have really only had Slight Scraps and Nicks.... Still Amazing Work!!!!!!!!
Fantastic diorama of an amazing idea sir! 👍👍 About the only improvement I could think of would be a different color (💙), but that's just my favortism speaking. This gives me strong Water World vibes and would look right at home in an aquatic post-apocalyptic setting. Keep on keeping on!!
Wonderful idea. awesome build and a fantastic result. Maybe the figures sits a little to deep into the cockpit. German WW2 Pilots usualy sits on their parachuts! so the seats dont needs seating cushions.
I just don't understand after all this time that the printer makers don't have a built in tilt hanger for the build plate to allow for good draining off of resin. The quick release is a great feature that should be on every printer as well.
One thing it's missing - rigging. You need at least a forestay, backstay and shrouds, and depending on the height of the mast, a spreader or two. On light craft, such as the landyachts you talked about, the forces aren't so large that you need stays, but on a craft this large you would certainly need rigging to keep the mast from folding up. And there's one more bit that a craft such as this would need - the boom-v-angle; a sheet (rope) that passes through two pulley blocks - one near the base of the mast, the other on the boom a couple of feet back from where it attaches to the mast. This prevents the boom from folding up against the mast when wind fills the sail.
Thank you for such a short and to the point video. Just bought and set this printer up, my first ever. It was so easy I thought I was missing something lol.
Very nice build. Creative and innovative. I have one suggestion for the next time you build a sail for a vehicle in active movement. Fill that sail with wind. Bulge it out in the direction the wind is hitting it. It would make a big difference in the dynamic feeling of the piece. I've built similar sails out of paper towels soaked in white glue. Let the sail hang from the mast and spar so that it sags from the weight of the soaked-in glue till you get that natural looking "filled with wind" look. Then paint. Other people have achieved similar effects using thin cloth like handkerchiefs, or dress shirts. Again, soaked in white glue till it dries. Be sure to check the bottom where the glue will collect and drip. Brushing it occasionally to remove the drip. However, this would only be an improvement on an already beautifully created piece. well done.
I agree. I did try that during the drying process. I used a hairdryer to blow and dry but I think the copy paper was just too thick for it. Thanks for watching,
Ay, nice - I love a good kitbash 👍 For the superglue + activator problem, have you tried applying superglue to one surface and activator to the other? Usually works for me but I don't think I've ever tried it on anything the size of those wings!
