i was 21, hardly been anywhere wet behind the ears. i travelled down from malvern for my first concert. a lovely hot day and it was brilliant. i can still remember looking at the clock getting a bit impatient then stand by me came on and the roar when u2 came on stage., was deafening. thanks for putting this video up.
I was at this concert! What a great show. I was on the floor right behind the sound booth & got to meet Elvis Costello. He walked into the sound booth before U2 came out & I introduced myself since he was just a couple ft away. He said hi! I’m Elvis. lol such a humble guy- I was so thrilled to chat w him for a bit. 47:51
I was there when he sprayed the the water fall I remember that from a long time ago and they won't be back but they are going to be here from Las Vegas to to say hello to the Bay area again. Much love Holbert Howell ❤
Thanks for this. I was at that show right down near the front. The girl Bono called up on stage at about 54:46 was right across the aisle from us and was holding a sign that said, "Can I dance with you?" He saw the sign and gestured to her to come on stage.
Still think it is cool this set is now part of the Aquarium here in Utah. Such a fun concert. Seen U2 live over dozen times but only once with my mom. This concert she was my date and when it ended turned to me and said; “I totally understand now why this is your favorite band”.
Aint no way the hole show... i just found a cd at my local shop with a ticket from this. To whoever illegally taped this thankyou, there was sposed to be no recorders.
Was there 18 years.. Was waiting outside from 8 o'clock.. First and the very bestU2 concert ever.. Freaking awesome!!🎸 Couldn't barely walk after the concert... My legs was done
This is awesome…I was 10 yrs old at this time…running around Gloucester Ma a few miles away when this was recorded. A few years later U2 would become my favorite band. I don’t think I even knew who they were at 10 though. Micheal Jackson would have been in my tape deck at the time….
I was there with my future wife. The weather was cold, rainy, and miserable, unlike the perfect weather from the previous "Chapel Hill show," but now what we remember most is U2 and the rain. First stop on their North American tour. It is awesome to think about those times. I loved the early 80s.
I was at this concert, when they played Out of Control at the end of their concert it was like nothing I have ever experienced before, more religious experience than concert. Everyone there felt like they experienced a quantum leap for the future of rock music in the 80's.
Oh wow, I was there. I will never forget it , especially as it was my very first concert! I was 18. I remember the Pretenders too. Amazing memories. Thank you so much for uploading!

Incredible that some guy in the crowd says, “So Cruel- they better do it”….about 20 seconds before Bono announces “Here’s a song we’ve never played live before…” and plays So Cruel? How in the world could that guy predict that so accurately? They only played that song 3 times the entire Zoo TV tour!
I was their, we snuck in, crazy cos it was post 911; we had nosebleeds but the show was incredible. This tour, its fair to say, everything u like about u2 was displayed this tour
