@@KrommRealEstate Not,not right in Sisters, but on the bridge itself. I I was a round 10 yrs old (I'm 70 now) when it was told to my Dad and I was sitting next to him and heard it.This was from someone who had lived there most of his life. If you dont care to believe it fine. It wont change that it happened.

What a dream day and what a great video! If/when we purchase a house through you guys I want a lesson. I had to laugh about your comment on RU-vid and your boat. RU-vid is how I learn to fix my major appliances. 😂
Someone please bring a full grocery store to this area. With all of the California transplants, a Bristol Farms or Gelson's would be an instant success.
Brooks resources has been trying for two decades. Oddly enough, the demographics haven't worked for the stores that have shown interest. That's why we have the Grove instead of a Bristol Farms.
Lived there in the mid 70's and graduated from Bend senior High school. Now the town is too expensive and the liberals from California and other places have ruined the state.
Thanks for the video! I’ve been curious about what the Old Farm District was and just who was the Old Farmer. Your on-camera demeanor is fantastic! Say, “Hi,” to Kristin for us.
Very informative John . We are 3 to 4 years out from moving into the area but watching the market closely. Really enjoy your videos and always look forward to your next post.
Great analysis, John. Thanks for sharing the data and your thoughts on the same. I appreciate that no one knows precisely how the market is going, but hearing your educated guesses is valuable.
My earliest memories of Bend is John Wayne at the Pine Tavern. '74? Took a Sunday break from a movie set. Logs in the river @ the Mill. No parkway...just N & S thru 3rd St.
Another video exploiting every good thing we have so many Fisheries I know have been ruined because hover use unlike you I won't mention some in hopes that they will stay unknown to this type of behavior a lot of them I used to go to never had trails now it's beat down to beat the bandwagon in people everywhere why don't you just put a button on it dude
This is a great idea for real estate videos, especially for those of us, watching from far away. Seeing the various neighborhoods on video is very helpful. It'd be great if you made more of these, above and below the median price range. I loved the bloopers at the end! Say, "Hi," to Kristin for me, and keep it cool you 42-year-olds!
I used to road cycle before moving here but it seems that gravel bikes are all the rage. Mountain biking, of course, but I have friends and coworkers who rave about the trails from Bend to Sunriver, to Sisters, etc and beyond. I'm gravel-curious now. Seems like Spring is bringing them out! As far as fishing goes, I notice you fly fish. I have enjoyed the 'ol bait-n-bobber in my past but have taken up Tenkara. Any good spots for that not mentioned in your video? Yes, very similar to fly fishing, but a little different. Probably smaller areas of the rivers are best.
Tenkara, ooh. I've never officially fished that way, but I have employed the technique many times in certain situations. Uhh... Fall river. The little Dechutes by Cow Meadow would be prime. And the Crooked is another great option.

Heading down camping the Deschutes on Sunday for a week of camping/fishing! I'm wondering if you would recommend the lower section (near Maupin) or upper section closer to Warm Springs? From what I gather the scenery/camping is better down by Maupin but the fishing could be better upstream. I'm just visiting the area so I would love to hear your thoughts!
i owned and lived in sunriver for a dozen years ...anytime someone asked me for directions i told them the location is off cicle 8....i know that was a little mean but i could not help myself....
Count me among the group that isn't doing anything until rates come down quite a bit. I feel the Fed is misrepresenting inflation as higher than it is, lifted in large part by housing, which is recursive thanks to rates. 'Course I am already enjoying the luxury of living here. If I were still stuck somewhere else, I'd probably be more flexible.
So that's you, Kristin! We enjoyed our visit in February and thanks again for all the recommendations for things to do around town. Thanks too for the weekly listings you send our way.
Ha .. youngsters yall so funny. My parents bought their first house at 15% and I bought my first house at 6.5 and my parents cheered with excitement of how awesome that loan was! All you young peckerheads ain't never experienced the historical average and so you think it's crae crae. Get yur head out yer butt and realize that the opportunity done be gone now. Back to reality. Tie your boots on and get busy living or get busy owning what you can afford or get busy renting Whatever you decide...... Shut your trap.
It comes down to affordability. Only the rich can afford to buy a house on the West side. If you can’t afford it then you live elsewhere. With that said. The west sides amenities can be enjoyed by all.
Hi, do you know if Bend have low-income rental apartments? It will be for a short-term I am planning on selling my house here in California. Thank you.
There are. I don't know what that actually means as far as how much the rents are, but they do exist. There is actually more vacancy now in the new apartments than we've had in years, so there are all kinds of incentives.
Hi, and thanks for this information. Great stuff! Can you suggest which rivers might be best in late April? Maybe the week of the 22nd? I fished this area last year later in the summer and I loved it; just not sure about this early in the season. Thanks in advance!
It's hard to beat the lower D, with a big heavy black stonefly and a hares ear off the back. Plus, the weather is usually nicer and warmer near that end of Central Oregon. But you could always hit the lakes, wikiup is usually lights out opening weekend.
@KrommRealEstate Thanks so much! When is opening day? Is the Lower Deschutes open year-round? Also, when we were there last the Crooked was not fishable due to low water levels. Would it be open late April? Thanks again!
Okay watching this made me realize I don’t know where my apartment is on this map. I live at the Commons At Pilot Butte. So am in the Orchard District or Mountain View? I feel like I’m in no mans land. Please help. Keep up the vids guys. I enjoy them even though I already live here.
