I have the 10'6" 20-40lb. I find it being too long for my boat. especially me sitting in the back with the motors. I was looking at the rod you have and was curious if the 15-30 can hold the 360 setups with 16-20 oz leads? I will probably get the 9'6" though. thanks for any comment.
it was impossible to see what you were doing, especially if you don’t know the proper terms for the different things. it would be nice if you held the completed rig up to the camera so we could see the finished product…
The biggest downside is the casting trigger on the rod. These are trolling rods that go into a rod holder, nobody is casting them. The trigger just makes it not fit well in holders like the folbes and orcas.
Got taught this today. Man handed me a cigarette butt, saw my circle hooks and off i was 😂 not a single salmom but man this is the funiest thing, cant wait to tie some of these up!
That's not the rod and reel you want, you want a surf rod with a casting reel like a diawa sealine 30# mono have to be able to lob a railroad spike or a 12oz claw weight
Good stuff dude, I'm a Florida boy in the Portland area for the year. Rigging up a rod for plunking the Columbia for steelhead. Great walk through on the setups. Any tips for bank fishing the Columbia around Portland/Vancouver? I was planning on rigging a smaller rod to flip swimbaits and Topwaters aswell as the plunking deal.
You know what I thought about doing is getting some kind of round flat hard foam piece to put on the very bottom of handle . I don't want to put a butt. Has come up with something that my hand looks light off the bottom. I even thought about making like a little ring of black tape at the bottom rapid enough to where it'll be like stopper So my hand won't slip off.
They actually have a new series out for say and it's the same blank just different color and they added a couple different actions like the 10 foot 6 casting medium action medium power.. I've been dying for them to come out I'm basically doing a lot of fishing like you do ,,triggering five other species. And also have creeks and small rivers stocked with State trout.. huge rainbows and huge brown... Put some hogs in there. Drifting 3 ft down with a nightcrawler those rainbows will smoke lesser reels .
I want to use for small cats.. to big cats. I do a lot of slip float fishing. plus I could run into small to huge strippers....and let me throw a crawdad or piece of shrimp try to catch whatever hits it. Plan on using it for carp. Pair it with a good 300 to 400 series low pro. Citrix reel matches the thread color on new sst new generation I'm considering. Blank is like a gunmetal gray and it's got orange wraps on eyes .
I love how we can see his girlfriend moving out in the background probably from him making this video him trying to become a fishing RU-vidr or making a video she’s probably a feminist 2
I see your truck all the time, I deliver food and I decided to.check out and support a local tuber. I hope you have more content coming, good vids. Just an idea, maybe find a foraging expert to join for a catch and forage video, mushrooms, berries, forest treats and the like. Again keep it up, great stuff. 👍
I prefer snelling knot sir. One of the biggest reasons to use heavier pounds leader is that the heavier the line, the stiffer it is. When you attach it to the dodger, it imparts greater action to the lure. Just an FYI. But I appreciate the video. Going to watch more of yours.

I think the SST stands for "Salmon Steelhead Trout" so it was designed for all species depending on specs and what rod in the series your using to catch what..
@@reelphatties6426 Probably going to get the new special edition SST for sturgeon and maybe the 10-20lb model for spring fishin. The new ones are sick man.
