The Human League in general hail from Sheffield the city in South Yorkshire often referred to as the "Steel City" because of its history. But the lead singer Phil Oakey is actually from Leicestershire, a little bit further South (Lineker-country you could say). Best known for Don't you want me and other songs like Human, The Lebanon and Tell Me When. Very much 80s music.
First heard this on Absolute 80's on the Forgotten 80's show every Sunday night with Matthew Rudd. I think they played on this the Edge Of Heaven segment where they play songs that had missed the top 40 at the time which is just before the show ends I was gutted this wasn't a hit but it's become a favourite the video looks fun too! I think at that time it looked like the band were being experimental with looks kinda reminds me of cheesy cartoon shows.
