M.U.D. needs to get back to responsible asset management of the gas & water systems and stop bloating the administrative ranks of M.U.D. management. The swelling of the highly paid non-productive employee ranks should be subject to a cost benefit analysis. It costs the rate payers lots of money and has highly questionable benefits. Meanwhile, maintaining and replacing water & gas equipment owned by the ratepayers is a much easier argument to make.
Meanwhile, down a few blocks, people struggling to find clean water to drink and bathe in for good health. Hmmm, make one think. What happens to the water when the event is over?
Good for Dave Friend and the other alert board members for discussing the offloading of the engineering to 3rd parties. It's been less than successful and the rate-payers end up holding the bag.
Time starting about 54:08.... Really Begley and McGowan?!?!?! Wow, I can't believe the trash that came out of your mouths... THE VACCINES ARE STILL EMERGENCY USE ONLY, they are not fully FDA approved yet. Yet you talk about screwing employees over based on vaccine status? And you singled out SPA employees?!?! Good luck next election cycle. Take your horrible, leftist, divisive language, pack your bags, and resign. I can't believe I'm hearing this trash from a board of a mature, conservative leaning company.... Also, the sticker on ID cards is the SCARLET LETTER!!!! I can't believe you people or what I am hearing at this meeting....
Sticker idea is ridiculous and needs to be stopped IMMEDIATELY. Stop splitting people as vaccinated vs unvaccinated. Taking the leftist route and just causing more division and discontent.... If worried about the delta variant just have everyone mask up indoors, which is the new CDC recommendation anyways...
