Jamia Millia Islamia's achievement of securing the high position in the national ranking brings great joy. However, the distant educational infrastructure and examination centers of Jamia Millia Islamia are a disgrace to our nation. 1. If the exams are conducted, it takes a year to receive the results. Once the results are out, it takes three months to six months to get the mark sheet after making corrections in the errors found in the mark sheet. 2. If the marksheets are not received even after publishing the results for one or two years (due to the non-publication of examination center), the student should go to the nearest police station and file an FIR. Enrollment numbers for the previous year will not be available on the mark sheet obtained after three to five months. Many students suffer from such situations in terms of their studies and job prospects. 3. To get a mark sheet by buying it from the examination mark list, one needs to visit the English department, which is always closed or filled with corrupt officials who roar like lions at students, including myself. 4. If one visits the examination centers to see the records and collect certificates, they are sent from six to ten, from ten to four, and from four to nine. This is how the officials at the examination centers trouble the students. 5. Jamia Millia Islamia is the sole premier institution in the country without the Controller of Examinations. 6. Many people who are unable to read or write are working at examination centers. Or they are ghosts. Otherwise, there wouldn't be such massive errors in mark sheets and certificates. UGC should conduct an immediate inspection to investigate all these issues. 7. Due to the inefficiency of the distant education center and the examination center, numerous students have suffered a loss of opportunities. UGC should take immediate action to provide them with adequate compensation for their losses.
