You probably have a pretty old version of Anytype then? If not, you can search on the forum for similar problems of other users or just create a bug report then

You can check for similar issues on Anytype forum, and if you find nothing you can create your own bug report

Hmmm they seem to replace protobuf with Any-block.. well, then I guess the template is gone.. mine is already filled with a lot of data which will be a hassle to clean. You can just recreate the basic idea of it yourself and adapt for your needs

You mean tasks as blocks and tasks as objects? Well with objects tasks you can give them tags, mention in other places and do everything you can do with other pages. And yea make subtasks with blocks

Даа, процесс работы немного отличается от notion и поначалу непривычно, но как вникнешь то поймёшь, что эта система куда более гибкая и удобная чем в notion. Можешь почитать форум anytype с автопереводом страницы на русский. Там вроде был раздел Showcase где люди делятся своими сборками для определенных задач. Или просто в бей в поиске Study, University или School

Yes, it is completely free! The only thing which might be paid soon is buying more storage on nodes for back-up. But it's not necessary anyway

Yes it is free and it well always be free if you use your own cloud service to backup your data bcz it stores data offline first so this is grate.

Well at work I'm using Blender a lot and love it, but I guess that's not what you are asking 😅 For the productivity purposes I also use todoist it's the best Todo list I found so far. But eventually I want to only use Anytype for everything productivity-related. I also use Brave a lot, the best browser so far... Apart from that idk what else can I share ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

@@tigr19 that was informative. I am currently binge-watching second brain content and trying new apps like crazy. To be fair it is so complex. However I might have found an to start with right now. After starting with anytype I do think I will transfer the style of my workflow to obsidian since it is so customizable. But a blank slate is just counterintuitive, that is why I will be using anytype first. However I am not planning to just use 1 app for everything rather maximizing my usage of an app for its intended usage. I am planning to leave my ticktick subscription and just use the free version of todoist integrated with obsidian. So I can still get the notifications and reminders. And much more that won't make it into the same app, like Google calendar for timeblocking and events, toggl for time tracking, loop habits for habits and I can just export it whenever I want to obsidian. Etc. I am trying to maximize the phone/laptop to be the one entity that is my second brain as a whole, not one app. Maybe in the future it will.

Yea true! I also hated that notion is cloud based, proprietary and slow. So I looked for the alternative. Tried obsidian, but didn't like it, don't remember why. And when found out about Anytype, I knew it's gonna be the future of productivity apps

Agree on Notion, and Obsidian so far seems really complicated if you wish to track projects. Only thing that makes me a bit hesitant about Anytype is the lack of automation. Been using Monday and Jira at work, and having simple task automated or the ability to trigger an automation is so useful

I also use Jira at work, but I wouldn't consider it a competition to Anytype, they are too different. Yea, now Anytype is not the most powerful, but they are actively developing it. I am really waiting for their API, they promised to make it in this year, if I remember correctly

They are different products with a different focus, and my need might be very unique :D But I would love to be able to manage personal projects within Anytype, Notion, etc. If I have a personal project, I would like to have tasks and subtasks - in Notion subtasks aren't automatically assigned to the project of their parent task and if you move the parent task to another project subtasks are updated either. In Anytype it seems to be similar, in that tasks aren't assigned to the project they are created in. And still haven't figured out how to create subtasks. Here automation could be helpful because it's annoying having to do this manually :)

Yea, lack of automation sucks.. I heard they are working on some automations like batch editing. But that's not the cure for your problem. Probably for such a specific system you would need to wait for release of Anytype's API to try to connect it to Zapier or similar stuff

I'm glad my video could help you with it! Yea, it's true, anytype's system is very different from both obsidian and notion. And I would say it takes the best from them. But as the workflow is different, it seems harder at first. But I think it's just a matter of habit and truly understanding the workflow. I guess I understand your current frustration, as I had similar thoughts coming from Notion. I also didn't fully get used to anytype yet, but I'm starting to "feel it", and I am sure you will too!

As a beginner, I would love to see a use case for homeschooling for an academic year. I set up my whole last years curriculum for four children in click up, and would love to just import it. But until then, this would be helpful if you could and sample flow setup..how to link task to reminders via Google calendar and how to correct linking (how to unlink) if there is an error. Also how to export from click up
