Brings back memories. This was my grandpa and grandma’s song. They met during world war ll. At the train station. “Chattanooga choo-choo” by Glen Miller.
The easiest way to keep head scarves in place is to use a velvet headband (like the one one use under hijab, tichel and other head coverings) with velcro. The headband don’t slip put on the right way and the scarf on top sits as glue to the headband. No bobby pins or clips needed and the Scarves don’t twist and turn and cause breakage. I had a lot of breakage from pins and clips to secure scarves to my slippery, thin nordic hair and the headband solved everything.
@@Chelleme I have not found one. But practically you cut two strips of velvet fabric. The ends will curl. You need to lay them flat right sides together, but here you need to make sure the fabric face the right way. You can feel the grip in the fabric if you feel with your fingers, wrong way and the headband will slide off your head or the scarves off. I sew the right side together and turn it from one end. Then I close the gap, sew on velcro and sew a seem in w shape on top, so the headband don’t curl(the wrong side is very slippery. If you have a serger, just skip the tuning and just serge around the edges and you’ll get a smoother headband. The width of mine is around 2-3inches. If you google wig grip headband you will find pictures and get the idea of what I try to explain. That’s how I figured out how to sew them.
