Hi Carly! I absolutely love your content, so glad to have found your YT channel! Quick questions, do you have suggestions of CRM softwares for MUAs and/or beauticians? I am struggling to decide on a software on which I can manage weddings as well as my other smaller beauty treatments.
Pro MUA fave of mine is the colored P.Louise eye shadow bases. I received a big holiday kit that had all these colors and did not really have a plan since I normally only carried two or three different nude shades of eye bases. I hardly ever do bright eye looks since I specialize in bridal and so I starting using the reds/pinks/orange p.louise eye shadow bases as cream blush and OMG. They are fantastic. Silicone based, blend like a dream, tiniest and I mean tiniest amount goes such a long way. I can blend it into the remainder of foundation on my palette to make the blush less intense or blend the bases together to come up with a custom blush color. Works so well on my mature skin clients. Maybe if I start booking more prom or HS dance appointments I could bust out the other colors I got in that holiday kit to create vivid, adventurous or whimsical eye looks. I know this stuff would be amazing as a liner, especially if I mixed in with my inglot duraline. ❤
As a facial specialist and Mua I also include sample sizes of creamy cleanser to melt the makeup off at the end of the day, a business card with scan code, a mini thank you card. Also during their makeup trial or consultation I usually ask their favorite color or candy and gift them a small wedding gift based on their preference. It’s a nice surprise. I do have a general touch up kit for brides that include the basics but I also have premium kits for purchase that include deluxe sample size products and packaging. I also stay stocked with hand creams and such so I will often gift them to clients for their birthday and or a mini bottle of sparkling cider with the straw and mints/candy❤
Thank you. I am a new mua and wanted to provide this for brides. I juat did my first bride and felt kind of lost after because I knew it was going to be a long night. I will be ordering everything!!
Hi so glad I stumbled upon your channel! You mentioned in one of your vids that you use liquid lipstick as lipliners. Can you share your faves. I’m looking for some Mac lipliner dupes. If you have anything comparable to Stripdown, oak, spice and whirl pls do tell!! Btw your work is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Where do you get your containers for the foundation? This is truly so helpful. Also, what color foundations of the face artiler foundation do you have in your kit?
Is this the $58 one that looks like hers? Because they have another with round pans that looks so small and it’s the same price ! Don’t want to buy if they are small
Carly Jo I do bridal and special event makeup. My kit is 💯 % cruelty free. Sometimes that can be challenging to find alternate products but clients love it
you should try the danessa myricks vision cream cover foundation. They are the best, that's what i carry in my kit, its full coverage and the tiniest it goes a long way. you wont regret it.
I never offer the mirror during the makeup application. When you give the client a mirror, it tells them they can look at any point during the application and make changes, which in the end makes the application take so much longer than it needs to. Plus, if the client doesn’t trust the process and the artists skill, it can really ruin the experience. Once the look is finished, then they can look at the mirror ☺️
Since you don’t use pencils in your kit (which I don’t want to do either) what do you do for lip liner? I’ve been trying to figure out what to do myself!
I had a large bridal party this past weekend with a strict timeline and I tried to follow as many steps as I could remember and it really helped cut my time! But once they saw I had extra time they tried to sit back in my chair for extra things like ...sunburns *blegh* no im not touching that ma'am put on sunscreen next time..
I have a large bridal party coming up this weekend and these tips are so helpful! Especially the working on your dominant side. It sounds so simple but I’ve definitely set up on my non dominant side before and I can totally see how that would eat away at my time. Thank you for sharing!
