I don’t peel the ginger root - I just scrub it. Usually, the nutrients are just under the skin, so when you peel it you might be reducing the vitamin/nutrient content. Also, I use the whole lemon because the pith (white stuff), peel and pips have more nutrition than the pulp.
Vaoo!! i love turmeric milk, but this cause somehow health problems to me and is not suited. Tried the curcumin capsules of planet ayurveda to fulfil my deficiencys and that's great i am now totally fine.
Oh great! Glad you found a good solution that works for your own body chemistry! It’s important to find what works best for you as we’re all so different and what works well for one doesn’t work for all!
For me i got the sense that no one believed in me as a child or young adult in my family, so i tried to strengthen/make visible that “believing in myself” energy. There was one adult outside of my fam that did believe in me and i have goodmemories of, so ivyried to amplify those feelings.
Thanks so much for sharing this! It only takes one person I think to believe in us to help us believe in and see ourselves. I’m so happy you found that one person and hopefully it has grown for you!
It is hard work it shouldn't be but it is I think we have just become to things that are convenient and fast to get us through this busy life with work, chores, family etc. But I'm trying lord knows it's hard. Great video
Oh my gosh, right!? With all the things coming out us, I think it’s important to find things that create calm and peace in our lives which as you said, that’s not an easy balance I try to stay in the living mindset, but that’s definitely not what the rest of society is expecting from us so it’s definitely a challenge to stay there. You e got this! We’ll all keep doing our best and staying the course together! 🥰
My husband is Russian and I am British. Having been to his country I was overwhelmed by the politeness and respect that exists in that conutry in the poorest areas. Personally I think there are 2 massive differenced between my country which is similar to ours. One is the roll out of new potentially hazardous frequency technologies amping up those who are eating the junk food and hype up drinks and the culture. Sadly the culture is now sick. I observed how no one cares for women with babies or elder people now. No one in our western culture cares for anyone. Everyone is fine and happy being selfish. Many people are mentally sick from dabbling with weed or other mind altering drugs for fun. Later in life they are getting phsychological disorders. The chemicals ingested in food, the lack of nutrition like omega 3 oil etc. Is creating these people. Dr Arjan, I do not know you personally, but I love you for the video you did on Golden Milk....it brought me to a higher undestandimg and sparked a lifetime of research into our ancestors way of health. You are brilliant and just take care. Crazy people may be more hazardous than you think right now. If in doubt report the person to the police. No one should be doing this to you. God blesses the good souls ,)
Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply here....I do agree with you that it seems to be (maybe?) worsening...or maybe that we're hearing about it more. And I, too, was in Russia years ago and found those people to be so heart-cenetered, and many of the 'less-endowed' countries I've been to (some would call them developing countries). I find that, almost, the less people have, the more grounded they are. People with more entitlement, like probably what you're referring to, seem to be tweaked so easily....about a parking space or someone cutting in line or not saying the correct word....and that will set people off here. It's hard for me to explain to my friends in other countries because it's just so ridiculous here. I mean, there's waaaay too much really big things going on in the world to sweat the small stuff and I think it's really important we take a deep breath and decide whether flying off the handle is really worth the damage it's going to cause. Thank you so much for taking the time here! And I love that you are a golden milk fan! I love that!
What u r describing is how i used to be. What iv done to get through what ur going through is to learn to laugh at EVERYTHING. if someone is yelling at u, let them be, dont take it personally and then when they leave just laugh. Have a big belly laugh cuz somebody yelling at u for no reason is straight up absurd. U must learn to just laugh. Don't laugh in their face but when they leave find a private pkace and juat start to laugh. Laugh untill u cry. The world is absurd and weird and nuts (esp right now) so dont dwell on it and juat laugh. Also, find some good stand up comedy and laugh at it. Laugher fixes everything, i promise. And don't dwell on it. U cant change other people or what they think, believe, say. But i promise, if u start to see the absurdity of everything and laugh at it, u will feel better.
I loooooooove that advice!! A couple friends I've told this to literally started laughing, and honestly, if I told you what it was, it really is laughable because it was so ridiculous. Mentally I know that but my body was NOT cooperating. But when they laughed, the apologized but I told them that they really should be laughing about it because it helped me to find the humor in it. And yes, I've spent a lot of time watching 'Modern Family', 'The Office' and 'Brooklyn 99' over the years to get me through tough stuff. I'm so happy you've found what works for you! Keep sharing that! It's important. Big hugs
While practicing this chant every day I found that after a certain point I could feel my heartbeat increase very perceptiblty for just a matter of a few seconds at a specific point in the chant. It felt as if I had just gotten a shot of adrenaline for a moment. Interesting.
Thanks for the requests! That's coming! And using the practice in this video, it should start helping move the energy from the 2nd and 3rd so things don't get stuck there and moving up to the higher centers.
Oh you're welcome! Thank YOU so much for watching and hopefully it's good information for you to add into your practice. LMK what else you might like for me to talk about as I'm making more videos.
I skipped ahead and read your info on the video, in it doesn't say anywhere to add "black pepper" and all of the other videos that I've seen indicate that "black pepper" helps the body to absorb turmeric more efficiently, others also say to add cinnamon and ginger.
Yes, you're right. This video was made many, many years ago and there's been so much more to add to it since then. You're inspiring me to make an updated version!!
@ Dr Arjan Khalsa I tried your recipe a bout 10 years ago because I wasn't sleeping well & was having joint & muscle pain issues & thought it was caused by sleep issues & some minor health issues, WELL Here I am again. I recently recently was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica & Rheumatoid Arthritis & Cytokine release Syndrome among a few other syndromes. I believe I may have had these issues for a while & didn't know until I had one shot of the Pfizer vaccine & from there my health fell apart almost immediately & I am still trying to put myself back together again. After 4 months on that miserable drug Prednisone prescribed by a Rheumatologist who rudely ignored my councillors advice from the Arthritis Society, I encountered some scary side effects from that drug & attempted to call my rheumatologist & my family Doctor for support without success so I made a hasty decision to go off that drug so I tapered off over a week and a half then completely off of it & stayed off for about 4 months then my doctor prescribed Pregabalin to takes its place well at this point I wasn't willing to even take that due to its side effect which was acute heart failure. to make a long story short, I have been using holistic measure to help myself instead of using the allopathic practice because I became so toxic & sick from prescription drugs that I feared for my life & decided it was the best move & it was. I have been recommending your recipe & channel to those suffering this autoimmune disease & anyone else with autoimmune diseases & want a more holistic approach instead of Pharmaceuticals. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe, it really helps with pain at night & allows me to sleep.
This was a very old video we made....probably 10 years ago. Since then, I've come across a lot of other variables to go along with it. Traditionally, in India, where this is from, they make it just as I've presented it, mostly when folks are sick. In America, where we're rebels, we like to change things around/add/subtract/update, hence the additions of all the other spices.
I put my Coconut milk into a cup and put it in a microwave. And I scoop in my tomb, Rick and my ginger in my black pepper. And that's the way I make my golden milk. Should I not use ginger?
I would make it with stevia instead or use banana. Is that keto? I make these cookies a lot now with olive oil, oats, banana and flax. Though, that might not be what you're looking for?
Yes, times have changed since I made this video. These were supposed to be more instructional along with a recipe. I know the trend now is just the recipe....
I wonder why you don't have pepper in your golden milk recipe. Pepper prevents the liver from metabolizing the curcumin in tumeric before it can be absorbed into the bloodstream. Just curious...
You seriously are making me laugh out loud. Yes, this was made way before tiktok and social media when people had way longer attention spans. And this video was an OG of golden milk, and I was making it for my local patients as an instructional for folks who had never dealt with turmeric. Times have changed! No more attention span for more than 30 seconds anymore
