I'm about to build my own. I have a conundrum.... The boat/trailer is NOT level at the ramp. It's angled up towards the bow...naturally. Why would I build steps, like these, that are level with the boat sitting on flat ground? When your trailer/boat is at the ramp, your steps will be tilted like the boat/trailer. Why wouldn't I want steps more level?
For the part it has you pick the "height of your trailer tongue" ...can that be explained? Was looking to get one but wasnt sure what that means...is it just for the length of the bolts supplied?
Just bought these steps for my G3 Talon 19DLX Nice fit and well built. Only issue i had was the torque specs were way to high 40ft lbs on the pole i snapped a bolt and 55ft lbs for main bracket i never even got to 50ft lbs and my bracket was bent pretty good. My advice just tighten by hand. 55ft lbs for round bracket bolts was way to high also i stripped a head bolt. Again just do it by hand don't use a torque wrench.
