Featuring diamond painting, diamond painting kits, miniature dollhouse kits, paint by number. My videos show you what products I have available at AHomespunHobby.com as well as my day to day activities running AHomespunHobby.com, WIP and chats, chats, explanations of how things are done, and frustrating roadblocks when buying from overseas. I have found a way to make my diamond paintings here in America so I talk about that also.
Diamond painting hobby, diamond painting shopping, how to start diamond painting, diamond art painting,
I just finished my first one. 😊 It brightens up my desk with how colorful and sparkly it is! And then a few canvasses went on sale, so, I bought just a few more. 😅 I'm starting with the small ones that I bought before I move on the bigger, more detailed ones. 😊
Hello. I will gladly do more. Thank you for asking. I have done a few, and I have changed a few things with updates to my software. I'm always elvolving.
Hello. Thank you for watching. Yes, this is at a factory. I make my diamond paintings myself now. Please watch some of my other videos to see how I do it.
Hi, I'm making one but with square drills. Stores say their drills are 2.5mm but in this software you can use 2.54mm. When I do the export, should I pit 2.5 or 2.54?
That is up to you. The 2.54 will give you some wiggle room. 2.5 does not have any room for errors and you must make sure your drills are perfectly straight.
Hi, I wanted to also hand chart my own art but I wanted to do it like DAC, they have like thicker lines. How do you do that? If I create a outline it doesn't look quite right
@@shurak3584 I can't speak for DAC. I will say, that because the edges of the subjects in the DAC artwork are a solid black line, that line will show up when the image is uploaded to a diamond painting software and perhaps someone hand charts the images to touch them up.
Hello, how are you? I hope you are doing well. Would it be possible for you to provide me with the information on where to purchase the resin diamonds that were shown in this video? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your prompt response!
Thank you, Michelle. I am also very pleased with the box being so sturdy. The wood puzzle pieces are so nice. So change of layers coming apart on them.
Thank you. I love it. I've been using it all week. We all have that favorite mug and this is becoming my new favorite. The handle is larger then on my other mugs, making it more comfortable to hold. www.ahomespunhobby.com
I’m in the Uk and wondering what the glue is that you use. My grandson wants me to do a couple of small paintings for him but the only way I can do it is with double sided tape at the moment and I don’t like double sided tape much at all I really want to try a glue that hopefully won’t be as expensive than the diamond dots pokey little bottle which costs £12 is. Also I have several a4 graph paper sheets that I am using for a cross stitch conversion so would love to try the glue on those to see if it’s any better than this horrible double sided tape I use at present.
The glue that I am using in this video is a quart. It doesn't come any smaller. The price is around $25. The new glue I am using comes in a quart or gallon. The quart is about the same price.
@carpediemdoesdiamondpainting @mrsem4374 The best glue to purchase for home use is Alene's Tack it Over and Over. It goes on white, dries clear, and stays tacky. You can get it in 4oz bottles or by the pint.
This was helpful! Do you have to let it dry in a certain way? I guess you need to add release paper over the top, but I'm not sure if you need to wait before doing so.
Thank you. I worked on this again the other day. I brightened the picture and rendered the diamond painting canvas again. I made it a bit larger. I think it's fun and I love it.
Hey, Sally! 👋. I LOVE alien putty! I just received by order of their 32 gram size lump of putty! Im definitely a fan! 😊. I am currently doing two events, Wings and Things and Blissful in Blue!! I saw both Katie and Anthony have pit out and announcement video anoit Summer with the Masters event! 😃👍🏻. Hope this draws business in your direction!! Have a great week! 😁💜👍🏻
I have my old masters on sale now. Thanks for the heads up. I'll look for your eventx. I think I am going to get the confetti Alien putty because my kits have so much confetti. :)
@@AHomespunHobby After watching it again, I misinterpreted the part of the video when you talked about putting the glue on. “The glue is not glossy like the diamond paintings from China. It goes on white & there is no sheen.” You were talking about the glue, but I thought you were talking about the drills. I watch videos late, late at night when my attention isn’t at its best. My apologies. I’m intrigued by your taking on making these. I’ve subscribed & also plan on visiting your shop online.
Hi! Yes, use Aleene's Tack it Over and Over. The glue goes on white, dries clear, and remains tacky. You can use a glue stick, but you'll have to just put on a little bit at a time and work quick. A glue stick dries quickly and is permanent.
@@AHomespunHobby I think that’s a good idea! Most diamond painters have a basic understanding of the process, nut to see it would be a very good thing.
Thanks for showing your process I’ve used parchment paper before and unless you’re going to diamond paint the image within a couple weeks it sticks to the image and tears while you’re trying to peel it back so I stopped using it I leave the plastic as it’s the only thing that doesn’t seem to glue to the painting 😊❤
Hi! No worries. I'm glad you are here now. You can watch this live to catch up on the first 3 chapters of A Room With a View. Please post your a photo of your canvas in the facebook group, Literary Canvas Creations, if you haven't already. See you this Saturday, April 6th at 4pm EST.
Ecotex Super Tack for screen printing? R The one in the red and white bottle? Thank you for this vid! I dislike dbl-sided tape and remove it. But haven't known where to find the correct pourable glue.
A better choice for you might be Aleene's Tack it Over and Over because you can get it in a 4 oz bottle. The smallest you can get for Super Tack is 1 quart.
I have considered taking my original art and having it made into diamond paintings but I just worry about sending my art to China and it being stolen. Paranoid I know but it is something to think about.
You are not paranoid. It happens all the time. I make my own diamond paintings and outsouce the printing in the US. Message me thought my facebook page. Look for my other videos and you'll see how I rendered the images.
I just discovered you because I decided to try out Diamond painting and waiting on about 5 canvases. Noticed I love old masters . And now looking at what you offer.
Thank you. I have a few beginner kits. The old masters are beautiful. There is a lot of confetti. If you work a small section at a time, the confetti will not be overwhelming.
It certainly is. I designed this with people who love pink and fashion in mind. For some people, pink is a lifestyle, not so much a love of the color. Thank you for your feed back. I appreciate that. I do have many other diamond painting kits and charts on my website. www.ahomespunhobby.com.
