Why run your fiber twice through the trays? Take the first tube measure it to length then take your other tube and break it exactly the same length of the other one
Cutting the cable to the length in the instruction sheet I found that using a combination of the long loop around the tray plus one small loop worked well. Still learning a lot and I'm finding there is no specific way you have to do things, but you have to watch your bend radius'. Thanks for sharing that video. I did a FOSC D 72 tray without instructions and it seems like a huge mess I would like to see some examples of different ways to fill out those trays.
He actually is. If he ties the long end of the rope to a tree, and tries to strip the wire towards him (think about how you would strip an electrical cord), the tree pulls the cable away from the wraps. Think of the icicle hitch, the sailors gripping hitch - they all pull away from the wraps. This has been bugging me, too, I found a couple of videos that show it the way you mention, but it looks like most knowledgeable people seem to be pulling away from the wraps.
He meant that he was going to strip the cable, and pull towards himself while stripping it - normally he would have someone else hold the cable and pull in the opposite direction. But he tied the rope to a tree to do that job.
