Hi Sid, been watching your videos & the content is great! I’m based in Dubai too with a Tesla Model Y 2023 with some functional mods. My TMY 2023 manufactured month of Dec in Germany, bought in Dubai, UAE, does not have this power connector at the rear shown in 5:45. Is it different or am I missing something? Then I hooked the H86 rear display up to the passenger A-pillar side OBD & power ports, also has a Hansshow 8.8 inch F888 display connected, which was working fine. After that, both these displays are not powering up, nothing fixes it including replugging the display units or powering off/on the car. Also the climate control on the main display shows “Climate keeper unavailable due to system fault”. I have written to Hansshow today, hopefully they know the fix. Thought to run this by with you, appreciate if you can share your thoughts on how to fix it?
I have the exact same model, so I’m surprised you don’t have the port right below the AC. Sounds like you might have had an electrical short. You can put the Tesla into diagnostics mode (look it up online) it will show you what’s wrong in more detail and maybe you can reset it from there . Wait for hanshow to get back to you as well .
@@varerkarsThanks! If I can share with you some pics taken of the unit when I opened it up, please do let me know. It was surprising for me too & I have also shared those with Hansshow. I will check this with diagnostics mode, hopefully it tells me something about what caused this & also will check putting the old rear unit back to see if it reverts to normal. I’ll post updates on these as well as Hansshow’s response🤞🏻
Turns out that the port is on the driver side below & between the center console tray and cup holders, the panel has to be opened to access it (Hansshow responded & confirmed this). Unfortunately not mentioned in any of the Hansshow's instruction videos or manual. Out of the 2 wiring harnesses provided, the matching one for my AMD processor model is too short to reach the rear unit (they missed this design completely & unable to find any other install videos for this), and the other longer one included is not the correct one. Have requested them to send a longer one, tested the unit to be thankfully working fine with the shorter harness. While I tried hooking the rear display to the passenger OBD & power port with the longer wiring harness, there possibly was an electrical short as you mentioned, knocking out my 8.8 inch front display. The Tesla diagnostics only show there was a software update attempted couple of hours later and it was unable to update the temperature humidity sensor ECU (component unresponsive during firmware flashing), possibly due to the short, resulting in the Climate keeper error. Some online recommendations are to reflash the firmware or software reinstall from the service menu, thought to better raise a service request to Tesla. Hopefully they will sort out these last 2 issues. Lost a bit of trust on Hansshow after this 😥
@@varerkars yep true, sucks to go thru this experience. Btw mine is a Model Y RWD, not the Dual Motor Long Range. The port might be different coz of this maybe?
I wish Sonos would add a tri-band EQ for mid frequencies. I sent them back. I opted to get the QC Ultras by Bose. If they add more EQ features, I may re-purchase.
Just got mine, and one thing I thought was odd, was that the screen has a blue reflection on it, almost like a iridium coating. Anyone else seeing that?
I respect You brother on reviewing Tesla accessories and some sponsored companies. But sorry To say. Hansshow is a horrible customer support company. They do not provide any support or even respond to emails. I purchased this Hansshow F9 Display about a month ago and it doesn’t work as advertised and I know it needs a software update. But Hansshow doesn’t provide any support or response. Buyer Beware.
I purchased this heads-up display from Hansshow F9 for my Model Y 2023 it work good for about 4 weeks and now after my tesla got an update it no longer accurately measures the battery percentage it always shows 101% and for the Ui my only has 3 Ui i can switch it does not has the toggle for the plaid animation as it was included in the description we need a software update to fix the issues please @Hansshow do Something about it.
I have the same set up. It’s so powerful and I’m sailing it back because I’m in a Townhouse. It’s the best set up. I see no reason for the big bass. Love it. Arc, sub mini Era300.
I just wanted to say, I’ve watched loads of videos about the meta quest 3 and this is by far the most informative. This will be my first vr headset (at the age of 60!) do you think the 128gb is enough storage for general use including photo storage? Also , when used for pcvr are the graphics more in line with a modern console? Thanks
Thanks man… I have the 128 and enough for my needs . But the 512 is not a lot more in terms of cost and if you want to have multiple games and movies on device , then go for 512. Regarding PC VR , I havnt tried it cause im mostly a mac user , but it should give you better than console quality output if you have a good graphics card.
Yes, but you have to be careful not to let the lenses face the sun or any reflective surface when you are outside or you could burn your screens and leave permanent damage. You have to be very very careful but if you are, or if it’s an overcast day, you can play outside in your yard or in a park with no problem.
As @ericsmith5498 said , you can use it outside , but make sure not to have the inside of the lenses exposed to sunlight as it creates a magnification effect and can burn your LCD
can't get sound to pass to my daughter's Pixel Buds A earbuds and now the bottom row of dedicated touch buttons don't respond.... any help would be greatly appreciated. But, without getting those buttons on the bottom to work, I can't do a whole lot...
Use bt transmitter and pair it to your Tesla audio. Regarding storing content locally you feed to copy it on a fat formatted usb and plug into the device media port , then use the local video app to select and copy to local drive
The built in speakers don't work for me, any idea why? Trying to contact for support but they don't seem to answer. I also don't have the rear seat sensor switch option in my settings, is there an update I have to install?
Q80c is a great one too, now the price has dropped to almost the same price I paid for the Hisense … my only concern with Samsung is no Dolby vision support. And most of the streaming platforms support Dolby vision over HDR 10+
I noticed this, too! The price went up a LOT. It's currently $599 on their website, too. So frustrating that it used to be cheaper.... Did they release a new version or something?
So you can choose not to hookup the front seat controls to the screen..........PERFECT! That was the answer I was out to find if it was possible, thank you so much!
Yes it is worth it. But you should’ve went with the sub gen3. I have the sub mini paired with my beam 2 in another room. It’s great but the sub gen 3 goes better with the level of set up you are going for. With that being said you should move your sub mini to closer to the couch in the rear. Try it. You’ll thank me.
Sid bro, you now only focusing on tech videos? We are really missing your dubai videos, going around places and seeing things around dubai. Pls Bring back those videos.
I ended up going with the Arc, dual Gen 3 subs, and Fives for rear surrounds. I purchased before the sub mini or Era 100/300 were available. System sounds fantastic with 5.1 and Atmos video streaming content. Noticed my Xfinity TV cable service is in stereo or 5.1. About 35% of streaming show/movies I watch are in Atmos format (I don't listen to Atmos music). Not sure how the Era 300 compared to the Fives in stereo and 5.1 content in home theater group? The Arc is due for an update for a v2 and I can wait to see if Sonos comes out with an Era 500. I also have a Sonos Roam and that works perfectly for night time TV viewing so I don't wake up the entire house.
Hey …. Sounds like a great setup. I’m sure the Fives sound great as rear. I think you should still be able to play atomic in 5.1.2 with you setup since the arc has 2 upward firing speaker. I also got the Sonos move 2 and the era 100. Highly recommend the move, it sounds significantly better than the era 100 with much better base and the fact that it’s portable is just amazing when I have guests over. Era 500 would be amazing I’m sure . 👍🏼
I bought my MYLR on impulse. I didn’t even think once about how I was going to charge it. The first month and a half I was resorting to fast charging every 3 days from ≈20%-85% sometimes even lower. It would cost me between $12-$16. My daily home/work commute was literally only 3 miles as I live 5 minutes away from work. However, I was always on the move with many many side hustles and errands, and getting together with friends, going out etc. I put 2k miles in the first month. I simply loved driving my model y. I spent roughly $200 on charging. Then I told myself I needed to reevaluate my driving habits. So what I do now is I plug in with the 110v plug from my apartment via a 10 gauge extension cord. I get home and plug in everyday even only trinkle charging I can get 20-25% charge within 12 hours being parked at home. I also managed to get authorization to plug in at work on a parking lot lamp post at 110v. So I can now charge at home and work and always be topped off. I haven’t paid for fast charging going 2 months. With both charge points available I’m capable of staying at a constant 80%-85% battery daily. Sometimes when I’m feeling lazy I don’t plug in for sometimes 2-3 days and I’ve only gone down to 70%. According to the Tesla charging stats I have only paid $30 on electricity for the whole month of April charging this way ($10 from home and $20 from work or other as is stated in the app) so it has definitely been saving me a lot of money. It’s tedious, but it works. When there’s a will, there’s a way. I do not regret my purchase.
I have the same set up, excluding the sub mini because I live in a flat, the bass trough the arc and Era 300 pair is so good even without sub. I will recommend the if you are going to place the Arc in a Small room or medium to start with the Era 300, you will find that you actually don’t needed the sub.
With the price tag honestly a car without a slide roof shade, or HUD, and with faux leather leave a big wide gap on value delivery. Positives: Tech ( though its a shame that all features are not functional) Petrol savings (someone buying a car of that price tag surely not have fuel as top reason) Maintenance: zero. Which is a plus. Except yearly wheel rotation ( that costs 1k per visit) Cons: Luxury price but lacking luxury Insurance (so tricky as warranty gets void if u get non dealer repair which get difficult after 2 years) now fr Tesla insurance premium is 6-9 k plus 15% of repair cost in case of claim. So fuel savings get offset by high insurance. And the resale is weaker than fuel car.
