Oh the unspeakable things I would do to a man if he built my cats a tree. Alas, it's ok. I'm building one by my lonesome.

My parents had a pair if Siamese cats who loved to go crazy, ripping thru the house 90mph,Lol My daddy's finally put a floor to ceiling scratching post with several shelves for them to rest on........ They loved it and the female even continued using it throughout her pregnancy. I wish I had one now for my two crazy cats!!

The song is a cover of 'Be my husband' by Nina Simon - the cover sounds a lot like Ed Sheerans cover...

Nice job!!! Did you burn the bark first before scraping it off? Did I see that right? Lol Does that make debarking easier? Also, did you dry the tree/branches out first or was it already dead when you found it? I'm in process of making quite a few for myself & maybe sell a few but it's my first time working with 'virgin' wood. Lol I have 2 medium-small trees I cut down as well as 2 pretty good sized branches I found in the woods. The 2 trees, I forget the name of them, but they're really smooth & don't have any 'bark'. The branches I believe are oak, one I know for sure is. They're all on a concrete slab in my back yard & they've been drying out for a few months now. But I'm wondering if/how necessary drying them out is for a project like this. I'm not too concerned with it 'shifting' or 'curving' a little. But whatever pointers you can give me is much appreciated! Thank you! Now that I think about it, burning it was probably what you did to dry it out, huh? Kinda common sense when you think about it 🤦🏼‍♀️ lol But what if the tree doesn't have any bark to be scraped off, like mine? Do you have a faster solution to drying it than just letting it sit forever?

This is just a guess, but a few seconds into the video you can clearly see the branches were charred black prior to debarking. I'm assuming that was the method he used to dry it. It's quick, and probably dries it enough for a project like this.
