From time to time, I will also dabble in some other VR games as well and post those so you can see some gameplay and some highlights of those.
@@TheCasualGolfPluser every time I turn on headset to play I reset and redo. Thanks for replying. Love to get it sorted out. Killing my tournament scores. Sometimes my club is way off behind me, or I swing and it's no where near the target. 3 wood has always been a problem. Outright missing the ball most swings.
Yea, i've got some other ones that I've posted on my channel. It's mostly Golf+, but everyone needs to mix it up from time to time. I've got them in different playlists if you want to take a look. Gotta keep it fresh from time to time!
Amazing skills. I got this game 2 weeks ago... Been on the driving range quite a bit and also playing the new York par 3 course. Managed to get -1 for the 9 holes. Loving playing golf in vr 😊
If you are talking about the power meter during the round, that's version 1. It will go away at some point, but no idea when. With version 2, you get a lot more control over how you tune your clubs (just not during the round).
A few. Learn to read the lines well. The closer the lines are together, the more it breaks. The speed of the greens matter for that too. A putt on very fast greens would need to be slower than fast greens so it will have time to break more for example. Find a putter feel % that works for you. Work on 15 foot flat putts and get a good stroke you like. Set the putter feel softness % appropriately so it goes that distance consistently. Then you can adjust based on up or down hill more easily. Beyond that it really is just repitition. The more you putt, the better it gets. It was months of playing before I felt like I had a great grasp on putting.
New to Golf+ VR and loving it. Your channel is a big help for me…. Thanks. I have a suggestion, watching your videos on your top shots. I would love to see how you record these small clips, do they need to edited ?
I love your vids, thought process, solid swing and attitude.....BUT......PLEASE play in Pro Mode. When you switch to Pro you will hit Like Shi....t, Score like Shi....t Feel like Shi....t, But after a month or two, you will improve soo much and feel better about yourself. Big fish in a small pond?....or medium fish in a big pond playing againse the best.... On Sundays I watch the NFL, I don't watch my local HS football team. You are Awesome either way.... Just giving my 2 cents
I actually do play a lot of Pro. I'm amateur in the daily/weekly for Golf+ (which is most of what you see on my channel), but I play Pro in a couple of other leagues that are on Discord. I also do Pro on the challenges (which I do post here) every week. Current hcp is around +6 on Pro, so I'm not great, but I'm decent. I enjoy the mix. I've played enough rounds where I've broken through the Shi....t part of the Pro game :).
Can't thank you enough for all your videos but these type especially. I'm one that is always hesitant to mess around with settings afraid I'll mess something up. After seeing how much and often you are willing to tinker with them shows me there is a lot of wiggle room. I pretty much copied your settings and will adjust from there. Club length was is a game changer! Thanks again
Yea, let's not even mention that I played for about a month or so before I really tinkered with anything at all. I just played the default settings. I do think it's valuable to use a baseline (whether it's default or an initial setup) for a little while to really understand what needs to be adjusted going forward. In the past 4-6 months, I've probably only made slight adjustments 2 or 3 times.
Thanks. I hope it wasn't too long. I thought about just showing it and keeping it short, but I figured some explanation of why I had it the way it was would be helpful too.
I depends on your swing. The Shot Shaper can help a little with height and draw/fade, but it's up to you to put a good swing on it. It doesn't just blindly follow the line it shows. The line is just a representation of how the ball should fly if you hit it perfectly. I think of it more as just a guide. It doesn't help with strength at all.
Hello, I closely follow your videos, and I really appreciate the effort you put into recording and sharing them. They are incredibly helpful, so thank you for that. I have a request: Could you share your golf club settings before you start playing? I’m especially interested in the global settings and any others you use. I try to hit the ball like you do, but despite trying everything, it still curves left or right. I’m also curious about how you adjust the softness settings for your chip and sand shots. Thanks again, and I wish you continued success and happiness.
That's a great idea. I'll make a video reviewing all the settings I use so people can refer to it. I do adjust them slightly from time to time, but not much. It's been roughly the same for the last 4-5 months.
Gotta love a bit of Golf+ Courses get better and better, i'm hoping for more UK stuff, would love to have Kingsbarns and some smaller epic tracks like Silloth On Solway.
In Amateur you get a little assistance. Think of it like a magnet on the target line. In amateur if you hit a bad shot, it won['t go as far off course as it will in Pro. Pro has no assistance. In Amateur if you hit a shot 10 yards to the right of your target, that may be 20 yards or more off target in Pro. That's just an example, I don't know the exact difference but I do know Pro offers no help whatsoever and Amateur offers some. And the shotshaper doesn't keep your ball on target. It's still up to you to hit a good shot, it just assists a little with shaping and height.
I've gotten a lot better since I made this video. I've also adjusted my settings along the way several times. That's one of the things I've done but I'm also well on the way to mastering how I want to shape my shots. It just takes time and practice but I'm getting there.
Yea, sometimes I have to record with no commentary. Sometimes the house can get busy and it's pointless trying to do commentary with all the noise around sometimes.
First, make sure you are using version 2 settings. Should be in the settings. If you see a "power meter" when you play your round, you are still v1. Then it should be located where it is in the video.
How do you hit straight in this game? I have watched your videos but I cant get rid of the slice no matter the settings. I am, using a Deadeye attachment. I don't have a slice IRL. Also my wedges sometime I give a full swing and they will only go like 15 to 20 yds. I never had that problem when I 1st started. Any help would be great.
Check out this video (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1mpDl9fWdVM.html). It helps explain it. First, use V2 physics (in the settings). Then adjust your draw/fade bias until your flight is straight. Without adjusting those settings, I hit a slice as well. I'm somewhere between 30-40% draw bias on most clubs to get rid of the fade.
It was mainly nostalgia for me. I played it back around 93, but no recollection of anything, so it was like playing it all over again. I still enjoy it. I'd love to get to Riven at some point in the near future too.
Very weird that you don’t have more views, I wish you the best man lots of content on your channel, I’ll throw you a request on golf + maybe play a round
Thanks. For the shot shaper, you have to be on Amateur. Then, you have to go into settings and click the check box next to it to enable it. Then, anytime you play amateur, you should see it.
