I do wish I had seen this before I got my Gillio and now I am praying they will do right by me. I opened mine and within 3 uses of the gold 30mm rings the top 3 all gapped- and horribly so! I know how to handle rings, open them correctly, etc. I’m devastated- because, for me in Canada that $300 USD price was over $450! For a piece of leather with metal rings. Granted, the leather is Devine (but had some small bits- premium gold deal) but these are the rings! So I requested they replace them with silver rings that would not gap. I have since learned that the gold rings gap. No other company has this price point (in my world). I have Chic Sparrow and other string and folio’s but this was my first brand new “investment “ ring planner. Thank you for making this video!
Hi, if you haven’t yet find a way to show Specific info on your digital calendar you could try writing in different calendars. different calendars colour code your tasks and then if you like or need you could turn off some of the calendars containing info you don’t need to see. Good luck! Nice video btw, thanks.
I love small rings! When I started out I thought I'd need 35 mm rings at minimum, for sure, but I pretty quickly realized that I just don't carry enough inserts to fill them reasonably (especially since I use monthlies and weeklies, no dailies). 10 to 15 mm is my normal range these days, I can fit more than enough in them. A tip: If you trim the inner margin after you've punched the holes, the pages will be easier to turn. They'll interfere less with each other in that tight space within the ring mechanism.
THANK YOU! I've never seen a ring binder like this but I've struggled with rings because I hate feeling the bump in the middle. I need to find one of these
It's why I now have 3 Slim Filofax Lockwoods 😄 Slims and compacts help me get down to the basics and not overwhelm myself with countless 'just in case' pages.
@@quasithoughts1040 I even slimmed down at work from the slim A5 Filofax Flex to the slim personal Lockwood. I need bullet points to focus, not prose 😄But each person's brain has different needs.
@@chronicfish They do lie flat, no issues there! I also love the leather, but there are differences between the colours in this line, probably due to the dyes used. I find the aqua and the garnet a bit more luscious and soft to the touch, while the garnet and the navy are a bit drier if that makes sense.
Just came across this video today. I love the size of the Stalogy, but like the rings too. So I bought a NEW Stalogy 365 - took it to Office Depot and had them cute down to the B6 size and took it home and punched holes in the pages & put them in a ring binder - love it. Moterm is a BIG one to for an EDC but love the functionality. I know, late to the party here. Hope you found your planner peace by now. LOL
Hi, Do you cut slits in these TRP pages (quick pull out without opening rings)? I’m curious to know if, because TRP is so thin and flimsy, that would destroy the pages’ ability to stay on the rings… do you know how slits would work?
will uniball-one still smear on water after writing using it a few hours later? I accidentally used this during exam because when I bought it at the shop it said “ballpoint pen” :’)
So glad you enjoyed it. The clip is these: www.jetpens.com/TRAVELER-S-COMPANY-BRASS-Index-Clips-Set-of-6/pd/23530?gclid=Cj0KCQjwvLOTBhCJARIsACVldV3EcKEjm3eJKJT8tk-JH_n1m7dPtmYaUYQMcMmD4nN8z2YVUtI30OUaAg0sEALw_wcB
i got some trp notebooks from nanami in early 2020, cafe note grid and ruled. the ruled notebook feels soft and nice, which i assume is the old trp. the grid notebook however felt cheaper and rougher. I'm not sure if the grid was new trp because that was before the announcement of trp being discountinued.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE your videos! 🧡 They're SO interesting and helpful! 🙏🏼 Plus it's just really to listen to you, you have such a nice voice and you sound like... Really relaxed and chill, I binge watched your videos and for real: I was so relaxed afterwards, I felt like I did a whole hour of yoga! 👏🏼😆😅🙏🏼 I'm pretty excited that you were sharing a video from yours in a FB (Midori) Group so I "discovered" your channel 🧡 planning right now in one of my Midori's and "becoming" friends with the Stalogy paper (planning to put one, cut down to regular size in one of my Midori's too) your content is REALLY interesting and helpful for me - especially like "right now" 🧡 Just saw that you was sharing a picture of your STUNNING Midori's in that FB Group too 🧡 I'm wondering if you're "sharing" on Instagram too?! 🙏🏼 I'd LOVE to see more of your notebooks / your favorite stationary / journaling / planning related things! 🧡🧡🧡 Ughh... I hope you're sharing on insta too and just didn't put a link in the description box of your insta 🙏🏼😅 So if you're on insta - I'm like begging you to share your name 🤣🤣🤣 That would be awesome 🧡 Habe a nice day and thanks again for sharing - this is GENIUS! 👏🏼 Will DEFINITELY give it a try! 😅
Aww thank you for watching! And I’m so happy your enjoyed them. I do have an IG under the same name QuasiThoughts. I post probably half memes and half planner content. I am getting ready to do a planner system video. There have been changes since my last but nothing is settled…other than a huge love for standard size and midori covers 🤣
I'm sorry I feel like a complete idiot. I have watched the video several times and I cant see where anything was mentioned about which cover fits the zequenz b6 journal. The only reason why I ask is because the zequenz Journal was mentioned in the description and I'm trying desperately to find a cover for my zequenz b6.
I remember watching your video back when I was switching to a standard TN! I loved your idea for being able to see the two notebooks side by side. I’m so glad I found you again!
Hey thanks for watching. It’s the 2020 version. I bought it on Amazon Japan. They sell the 2021 version now and have released or are about to release the 2022. I don’t have those links. But it you use google chrome with translate you can search “Franklin planner” and you should be able to hunt around a little and find it. I have a video going over that book alone, and the 2020 version was linked in the description there. But I don’t know if that link is still active.
Great video! Super helpful to me since I currently have both of these sets of inserts in my Amazon Japan cart and I came to YT looking for a review! I noticed that you said that you're not a fan of the paper the FC inserts are printed on. Can you compare that paper to the US FC inserts? Is it the same or better quality? I have some FC US inserts and I'm lukewarm on them because I much prefer 32 lb paper. I'm sure the Japan version isn't as heavy as 32 lb, but was hoping it was a nicer quality than the US version. Any insight you have would be awesome! TIA!
I honestly can’t really remember. I believe both the US and JP half letter/A5 versions didn’t play well with fountain pen inks. It’s frustrating because Japan has a strong fountain pen culture.
That's what planners are for! I think it's cute that people like to play with them and dress them up and all that, but the truth is, the purpose is to focus on what's important in your life. Savings is part of that and accumulating blank books? Maybe not so much I saw your video on the Japanese two page per day planner and bought one for next year. I really liked what you had to say about it, and now I'm looking for Japanese products coming out to add to a collection coming by to see my mother of God. It's time not to have so much. It was fun. They're all cute. But that's not what it's for
