I have tried hundreds of different weird and wonderful variation of the golf swing - I’ve even tried playing the game on one leg! Trying to find a swing that guarantees a consistently good strike on the ball has been a personal obsession. There have been many eureka moments - usually short lived! My problem was that l had someone else’s ideal of what my golf swing should look like and that ideal didn’t suit my shape, size or mobility. I have come to learn on this long journey that you should not try to emulate the unobtainable for you! Work with what you have and when you do find a swing that works, stick with it and memorise the fundamentals.
`where is the audience when you need one`- you made my day. Many thanks for all your afford. Your tips are gold to me. Many greetings from Germany. Stefan
This is it... I have my front knee to the ball for most of the time during my backswing and the ball fly but tendency to pull. Lucky me I watched this vid and tried it out. Simply amazing .. I am not a hard hitter but seeing the ball went straight(mostly) with good distance is my aha moment. I dont place distance as priority, always happy it went straight instead of all over the place. As the Old Pro said it can only be caused by the right knee to left toe move during downswing which automatically caused the right arm to drop down into the slot. It works.. BIG THANK YOU TO THE OLD PRO for the great tip. Golf is fun again. TWO THUMBS UP
I for one like his brevity. I like the way he makes me think about it and explore it a bit. I like the paths and tips he’s giving. The knee movement and coordination (right knee over left toe, left knee over right toe) has been freeing me up and giving me a sense of the balance to find in the swing. I can’t work on more than one thing at a time, anyway.
This has been absolutely gold for me. So simple yet a true breakthrough. It leads to so much good...shallowing, clearing the hips, weight transfer, consistent ball striking. Just amazing.
Many thanks again for these superb videos. I started playing last September. I’ve watched some very polished videos from two or three unnamed people. Helpful, but not as informative and as helpful as yours have been. Hope this isn’t rude, but I’m glad you haven’t spent thousands in production costs. Just succinct, clear videos. Without you literally saying it, you have helped stop topping, thinning (and many other golfing terms!) right knee, left toe; in my case, left knee, right toe, I’m left handed.
I’m starting to get decent impact with the right knee to left foot but I’m popping up my irons and woods especially my driver. Can you give me a fix for this? Thanks.
Don't know why he bothers with this. I understand he's creating content but he could have his best round ever and he still wouldn't qualify because he is miles away from being a pro who plays for money.
Great videos, short and concise. I was slicing an 18 degree hybrid every time, been watching your vids and the right knee left toe action appears to have fixed my slice!!! I assume it changes the position of the clubhead at impact or something but who cares, thanks. (Can I suggest a better microphone to reduce the wind noise?)
This absolutely works! I have incorporated these moves into my swing and the past two rounds were the best I have ever played! I shot 5 and 6 over. Thank you! One suggestion, if you had a lavalier microphone, the audio quality of your videos would increase substantially.
Been watching for few weeks. I went to park to hit balls in big soccer fields. Right Knee, Left Toe. Amazing advice. The little nudge forward to push off/start momentum also good advice. The Right knee left toe really helps me to drop my shoulder and hands so I can see where I need to hit and have time to adjust it.
Your lesson videos are simple to understand and are most direct, a great mix. Refreshing. I'm retired and am learning how to swing a club. When you say things such as "the right shoulder goes down" (on the down swing) it's extremely helpful to hear that because the shoulder moves the limb, which takes the focus off the limb as something to think about. It's much easier to remember, too. I also like the breakdown of the downswing. This simplified my understanding. The hip "bumps" left just before rotating as a fluid movement or motion.
I've been trying to improve my downswing but when I try this I'm told I'm a slider, and the feel I get is my trail hip bumping out (which stops my turn)?
Does your left thumb go down the middle of the grip or on the right side of the grip. Is it your thumb pad or thumb joint on grip? Thank you videos are great
Yes your knees but first your hips and shoulders followed by arms in a circular but rotating motion with no hip shift and 60 percent of your weight on your front foot...... there now you got it
