Adirondacks are larger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Glacier, and Olympic Parks combined and it is my playground.
No way, thats pretty wild. A old man taught me this many years ago, he called it worm sticking. I've heard worm rattling, worm grunting, but never fiddling. I kinds like that 👍
Absolutely is, from my understanding it takes lots of important nutrients from soil hindering other native plant growth. On my land, Unless its near poison ivy (because I would rather have GM 😆) I pull it regardless if I am using or not. Appreciate you stopping by 👍
P.S. I jussssst found & cleand a in cast iron measurements,,, a #10. Seasoned 4 rounds in da oven & now dare ANYBODY to touch it. My personal use pan😂😂
Pleeeeeeease keep doing what youre doing. Ppl NOT understanding you stripping. I AM a collector of these for 3 yrs now. I appreciate you getting GOD KNOW WHAT off your pans & reseasoning. I do & did & these babies are da bomb!!! All sizes & names. Now i want a NATIONAL. Gre8t job friend. Luvvvv this video.
Thank you for the kind words 👍 restoring and collecting these and CI are so rewarding. I can't imagine buying a used pan and not stripping it then eating from it 🤮 thanks for stopping by 👍
TY my friend My Brother.. I just heard about the company yesterday. That one looks great. I'll ck it out online for pricing. ✌️ Peace,, - from Big Jim New Hampshire USA aka Boston Strong
@@BarkEaterptomaine poisoning is a myth and was disproven over 100 years ago. If seasoning cast iron pans was dangerous, don't you think humans would have stopped doing so?
Cleaning them like this and not re-seasoning is pretty foolhardy, you want to build up a few layers of polymerized oil to make the pans slick. That said, 200 year old "seasoning" gunk isn't nonstick either!
@percyvile these are high carbon steel not cast iron. One good oil and heat seasons them non stick unlike cast which I do several thin coats in oven at 550f. I been restoring, collecting both CI and cold handles for over 30 years never had a complaint on my seasoning methods
I did the whole process with a Swiss army knife. Full video of process is here, thanks for stopping by 👍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ysxns9nKP88.htmlsi=NIj79u8bCpOEhx2P
Rule of thumb is the weight of deadfall should be at least 5x the weight of target catch to effectively dispatch. This can be achieved by one large rock, log, or stack of materials. Obviously your trigger stick needs to increase in diameter and strength to hold larger weights. One in video would be no issue on a small squirrel or chipmunk. Thanks for watching 👍 full video here of this being built with only a Swiss army knife. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ysxns9nKP88.htmlsi=NIj79u8bCpOEhx2P
I know exactly what your talking about. Same concept for sure. Ltmike wrote this up in Self Reliance magazine many years ago but he just showed me about a month ago. Thanks for stopping by 👍
Exactly what is being done here. The string pull also helps not covering your hands in Vaseline when pulling out. Bonus the bank line gets saturated as well making yet another emergency Firestarter. Thanks for watching 👍
Just removing from water will take care of it. Unfortunately if you find some there's most likely many more that would be impossible to remove, but everyone helps 👍
Yes there is. I hope to get it out for full walk through review within next couple weeks. I wanted to test it out for a while in rain storms for a honest review. Thanks for stopping by 👍
Mushrooms don't have roots because they are a fungus. They have a large network that is intertwined with the trees. Don't be afraid to break them off, you won't damage them! More will still come back. Happy mushroom hunting!
True, however if you want to get technical morels aren't mushrooms they are sac fungi which grow out of a root like structure called mycelium which will produce more morels if undisturbed. Thank you, happy shrooming to you as well. 👍
@@BarkEater Well considering you’re wrong I figured I’d correct you a little, Morels are in fact mushrooms. The term mushroom only refers to the fruiting body/reproductive organ of the mycelium, just because it’s an Ascomycota does not mean that it doesn’t produce mushrooms, they are not mutually exclusive. He is also correct in saying that breaking them off is fine, it does not hurt the mycelium at all nor will it put a damper on future yields.
@@a1ynex95 interesting 🤔 Only going by what I was taught over 40 years of harvesting. I never claimed to be a mycologist only a guy with a hunger for tasty fungal treats 😂 thanks for stopping by 👍
Nope definitely a clove hitch. Only hog knot i know is 3 loops with knot forming in center loop, 2 outer loops go over hogs feet. Is that one your talking about? Maybe ill do that one sometime soon.
Very close, a constrictor is a bit stronger yet very similar. Last part the line goes cross through the right loop instead of up middle in clove. Maybe ill do that one one day soon. 👍
Subtle tip - systematically fold the tent so that the door is easy to find (e.g. the last part of the roll up) thus making it easy to deploy the tent from the desired door position. Also, pop the towel into the tent bag so it is there next time. Benefits accrue from unpacking, cleaning and drying everything when you get back home.
The door is a great tip. Towel was damp from wiping tent bottom but if it were completely dry yes I would definitely of kept as a designated tent towel. Thanks for watching 👍
