The Bahubalification of these larger than life movies needs to stop .. on paper the plot of devara was good why tf did they decide to execute it the bahubali way . this movie costed 300 cr (including ntr's remuneration) but cgi was lackluster the sea scenes looked fake and very obvious studio-shot vibes .. even the bgm was mid (looks like anirudh is juggling alot of projects (his focus is on Vettaiyan and Coolie) so maybe he treated this like a side project..a below average day at the movies
Nimish, thank you! Nice observations....👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Did a solid review.... Congrats for that....👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Said with dignity and respect! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 What you pointed out about the "template", felt absolutely accurate.... Thanks once again for the sincere (and bold) review..... One question : Did you watch the malayalam movies 'Kishkindha Kaandam' and 'ARM'? I would like to hear your take on them, with regard to the script and direction, more than anything else...
Beautiful Review Brother. Actually i liked Songs and dance. I did not see any interesting story to connect with the characters. except songs and dance and few buildup scenes there is nothing interesting here. i dont think they will do part 2
Like so many others, Got into southern regional cinema through RRR and thought that Jr. NTR did a phenomenal job with a character that could have been one note. However since then…have moved more to Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada cinema. That said…I don’t know. I have not been impressed by what I’ve seen from Devara. It doesn’t help that I _hated_ Janartha Garage which this director directed. Will probably see it in the theater but I think it will simply be another “hero/savior” film…seems he is trapped playing those type of roles by fans that can’t see him in anything less. So again: will see but my expectations are low.
Nimish, well said, truly said and nicely said..... Vikrant and Deepak killed it so well..... It's high time the world opened its eyes to the fine-actor called Vikrant. Deepak was a pure and wonderful revelation.. Well-deserved four-stars............Thanks bro!
This i y i love nimish bro's reviews. Even he don't care abt the reach but still enjoy saying reviews, like a passionate boy 😄❤ keep doing the same machaa
The song and the feel are really well done....... You said it right Vedang has sung it pretty well..... Moreover Vasan Bala, the name itself excites......
Thank you very much Nimish for your choice of movies... I appreciate and congratulate you for selecting movies like "O. Baby", "Pookkaalam"... etc., which even malayalees miss out..... I am even more surprised to know that you enjoy these films and understand the layered subtle nuances too..... I tried to introduce these movies to my non-Keralite as well as non-Indian friends but in vain.....Keep up the good work.... Expecting more reviews from you soon..... Thank you!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Nimish bro, Thank you very much for at least noticing this film. Appreciate your choice of films and the solid review..... Thank you.... Please continue to discover such gems....... There are many from the past too...... Have you seen Gaganachari??? Did you see the newly-streaming malayalam films 1. Golam 2. Nadanna Sambhavam Level Cross is also different.
Thank you for your review! Wasn’t that impressed with the trailer but I love VJS so went to see it in the theater…and was shaking at the interval and utterly moved by the end. I agree with comments I’ve seen online about the problematic key plot point but the fact that the victim is both given voice and that voice is assured, resolute & defiant took this movie over the top for me. If anything I would have loved more screen time exploring the father-daughter bond as it was so beautiful to witness and was key to understanding the key elements of the characters (trying not to divulge spoilers😊)
Really this movie is awesome. Parvathi perform very well. Really Urvashi chechi is the only lady superstar. Hats off to Christo. It's a must watch movie.
